HAD to show this off - it was a long time comin'. I've made quilts before as special gifts for some very kind phamily who we love.... but I finally made myself spend the time on one for US. :) I went all out - threw in all sorts of super tight patches in there, and didn't even border it so it's patchy all the way to every edge. It's also extra-big, since we hope to upgrade our bed and mattress sometime in the next year or so. Lined with flannel, and with a layer of warm&natural in between... this baby will keep us warm!!

Thing took me damn near forever. Whatcha think?

:) Thanks everyone! I definitely LOVE this thing - it's been really cold here and this is the first bed cover we've had that's big enough to keep us both warm without one of us always having cold feet or butts poking out from under it! And it's sooo cozy! :D

Actually, except for the tie-quilting process and binding (neither of which I've done much of) this project wasn't all that different for me. Usually, when we're ready to do a bunch of shorts or pants or something we'll start out by sewing up yardage of patchwork - so for this I basically just made the yardage double-wide and that was it!
