If you could travel in time

If you could travel in time, where would you go and what would you do?

 

i would go back to 1973 and have a good long talk with my young self.

 

I'd go to another time stream. (Time is not just one dimensional.)

 

i woudl go back to the 60s and 70s so i could meet janis joplin whose my favorite person ever and i wanna meet jimmi hendrix. I also wanna go back so i could do some drugs that are easier to find and cheaper.

 

this is a good question and im not for certain where i would go, Lady Of the Freaks has a pretty good one tho.

 

lol silly how everyone wants to go back, id go to the future, see if the world gets fucked to death or if we migrate somewhere else or if chuck norris's ghost stops global warming with a dropkick, w/e, just really realy far into da future baby!!

 

i would go to a future time two or three generations after current population levels have collapsed. when the rivers are running clean again and the salmon have returned. when people have started reinventing tecnology, but not basing it on the combustion of fuels which will then be no longer available.

what would i do? i'd live there! and ride arround on the little trains and maybe help build them. or just do a lot of walking arround in gardens and forrests that will have replaced the long since no longer maintained pavement which will mostly have rotted back into the ground, or been removed dileberately.

and build, design and live in, the really twisty, unique, sculpturaly creative, little ferro-cement, houses i look forward to people, building and living in and wanting to.

i'm more inclined to harbour my fantasies of hope and encouragement of what could be , can be, and hopefully perhapse will, then illusions about what might have been, some time or place in this earth's past, knowing how temporary any near paridisical pasts, have ended up, so far, being.

time isn't the only direction though. there's a big universe out there, and places nearer an dearer to my hearts desire then any here have as yet been, are bound to exist, if not do so abundantly, in it.

But seriously, The first place i'd go is to the late 60's, go to one of Floyd's early concerts and trip out on acid. And possibly meet the "crazy diamond" himself.

 

I'd go back 3000 years when there wasn't any dam electronic shit around and hang out with the Egyptians Than I'd go to Rome and enjoy those orgies I always heard about

 

I'd go back to Pentecost.

 

I'd like to go back and see Jesus. Out of all the possible religions and random belifes that people talk about, I believe if any are real, its Christianity, and I'd love to meet Jesus and know for myself.

 

You know that Jesus is just a re-telling of hundreds of other "Saviors" right?

 

You know that 95% of things told it Zegist(sp) are false are a truth that was majorly exagerated? I saw the film and thought WTF... then I did my own research, and foudn that movie to be false. As for hundreds? I'd say I can find 3 stories similar, but still different.

I would LOVE to go back to the summer of 1816 and stay with the Shelleys and Byron at the villa Diodati , and just hang out , they were hippie flower children BEFORE there were such things.....free love...tripping on opium......fighting the establishment and the social mores of that era.....

Thats a bit difficult to do, as Egyptians only type of recorded history is hieroglyphics and we can't read them. The only thing we have is human interpritation, they've found hieroglyphics that look just like a helicopter. Does that mean they had these? Of course not.

I really get annoyed with so called open minded people who believe anything another "open minded" person sugests to them.

Note: I never said Christianity is real, but it is very possible that it is the truth, close to the truth or even a part truth. Jesus was a real man indeed, so I could still go back and see him. Savior or not.

 

oh really? since you obviously know more about time than anyone else, i'd like to hear more on this...

 

noone has no proof that airplanes or anything like that could've existed in the past. maybe there were people way before the cavemen and they were inventing the same shit we are now. or maybe it could happened on a different planet. like maybe there's a planet where the 60s are goin on right now.
