My older brother was Art Major in college, so between the ages of 18 and 21, I posed in a series of photo shoots for his art classes. In some of the photos I was nude. I posted some of these photos in nudist forums on other sites and the reaction was surprisingly negative. The poses are what anyone who has ever taking a figure modeling class would expect. If anyone wants to see the photos just pm me. The question I have is why the negative reaction from nudist to nude photos?

Noic, not sure why anyone would care, unless they're just ignorant. I'm only learning and exploring nudity, right now, since I like the concept... but clothed or nudist; the reaction should be the same: everyone should be proud of you or at least acceptable to them. Are pics not allowed on the site? Was it a porn site that poses as a nudist site??? If they only wanted to see young girls, then they might not like a 27 yr old guy, for instance...
Keep your chin up and don't worry about it too much. :)

Thanks. No it was not a porn site, it was a nudist site that allows pictures to be posted.

I don't see why anyone would have negative feedback towards a naked body in the first place. especially since its a nudist forum. Unless the poses were in some way sexual or offending, I don't see whats wrong. Could you PM me the pics? I'm kinda curious to see why theres negative feedback. Also, whats the site you're talking about?

Noic, you should just block the penis out and post them on here so everyone could see.

The photos I posted where what I'd consider to be clean. Some of the pictures we took where of an artistic nature, and therefore could be misinterpreted as dirty, but I didn't post those pics on the site or any site.

Yea, I could fig leaf some of the photos and post them. That's not a bad idea.

    It's not a bad idea, it's a TERRIBLE idea.

Why would you ever consent to get into censorship of work that you're involved in? If this stuff is pornography, then it doesn't belong out in public anywhere, unless you label it as what it is and let those who are interested take a look, assuming that you think porn is OK--and let's not get into a debate about that.

But assuming it's not pornography, you're insulting everyone--yourself, the artist, the audience--if you take the low road and decide you have to censor it. What the hell does that achieve? It just panders to the prudish element in society, going along with the idea that there are certain parts of the body that should never be seen. That's neither artistic nor naturist; at the very best it's cowardly, saying I'd like to show complete pictures but I don't dare to. But really it would be yet another silly game played with almost-nudity, saying we know what you want to see and it's right behind this figleaf, but I'm not going to show you--exactly what textile society, with its prudes and its porn, is doing all the time. Notice how they each feed off the other? They're allies, not enemies.

Think about freedom. Think about these gorgeous bodies that we each live in. Are we fit to be seen? I say we are.

But I also have to say I'm worried that a bunch of nudists didn't like the pictures. That does suggest something's wrong. But if you believe in what you're doing, you won't let that stop you.

The reason I considered censoring my pictures was to keep with the rules of this forum. My understanding is that the nude photos are only allowed in the erotic forums.

I posed several pictures on the nudest forum. One of them received several complaints because I was told I appeared semi erect.

Other pictures in each of the three sets did contain aspect which some might interpret as inaproprate, so I did not post them.

Thanks for your input. These pictures are somewhat controversial with my family and I like all of the input I can get.

If anyone wants to see my pictures they can send me a private message and I'll send them to them if they'll give feedback.

I have done a Foundation in Art & Design and have found that where a drawing or painting of a subject is classed as art, the exact same subject and pose in a photograph is classed as pornography. I have asked a lot of people what the difference is but most don't seem to have any coherent answer. If you send me some samples I'd be more than happy to send you feedback.

I have done alot of modeling lately for college photo classes. The student will use the pitures of me nude for a public exhibition. The were having alot of trouble finding models who dont mind the use of the images in public. I have no problem with that at all.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I still trying to get up the courage to send you the pictures. It's funny how embarised I've become about people seeing them even thought the where taken between 9 and 7 years ago.

Well, you could send them with your penis covered like you did to me. Honestly though, I though that made the pictures lose something.
