so we all know that coffee is bad for you, but my question is if defcaf coffee is any better? does anyone know?
i can't quite recall, but i seem to remember something about the process of decaffeinating it being really bad. a cup of coffee isn't really bad for you, but a pot of coffee is. unless you have blood pressure or heart issues.
i know it's from a woman's site, but the info looks good: http://www.lifetoolsforwomen.com/w/reg-decaf.htm
Even decaf isn't safe for those with genetic or a family history of heart disease. It still contains a small amount of caffiene which is know to raise the blood pressure. Or so I've read. I suggest you do some real research on it on the REAL medical websites.
Don't take this as me being anti-coffee. I still know where some of the best coffee shop coffee is in Vegas. El Cortez is a fine cup and they offer non-dairy creamer, half/half or milk. Your choice.
Most definitely. The caffeine content ina cup or mug or hell even a whole POT of coffee is nothing near the danger level if you're reasonably healthy. But beware, it is possible (I know I've done it) to get addicted.. it's a drug just the same as alcohol, weed, etc.
all i know is that i feel REAL good after drinking regular coffee and i don't feel anything at all after drinking decaf therefore, regular coffee must be better for you
Well Coffee can be good and it can be bad, The process of common Decaffination uses chemicals the dont 100% after it has been washed... The other Decaf method is some Water washing method..... few coffees are done this way.. but it is the best health wise. Organic and fair traded coffee is probly the best bet.. . It doesnt use chemicals and The farmers get paid well so the quality of the bean is greater... I have also read that Coffee mixed with Excersise can be very good for you.. and does good things for skin? i dono..
I've heard that they use shit like Formaldehyde (used to embalm bodies and extremely toxic) to get the caffeine out, but then I've read that they use water, so I'm not sure. Anyway, coffee's not that bad for you. Just don't overdo it, and remember, no coffee is 100% caffeine-free.
phuck coffee, espresso is where it's @. besides having bad properties, coffee has a lot of good ones too, btw.
Everything is bad for you in extremes. The last report I read showed that coffee actually prevented liver problems in alcoholics. I personally am addicted to coffee; average about 7 cups a day.
I gave up nicotine, cocaine, and haven't smoked pot for over a year but I have to have at least a pot of coffee a day. One study says its poison the next says you'll live longer if you drink it. All that matters is I don't run out. Thank goodness for the 24hr coffee shop on the corner. I know its off topic but whats the strangest thing you've used as a filter when the paper ones are gone? Pantyhose
I started drinking coffee pretty recently and it puts me in such a good mood and I can concentrate better. It usually takes two cups for it to take any effect though.
