I keep seeing videos on youtube on how to make a 'vaporizer' with a lightbulb (if you don't know what I'm talking about watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEiJaHlUpyE )

I was wondering would a thin walled glass jar work the same? I will try it out as soon as I can go and get a jar with a lid.

    Any thoughts?

Worth a try if its some mids. The goal of the vap is to get the temp inside high enough to vap 284 (min)-365 faren, while staying below 392 which releases carcinogens and 446 which is point of combustion (fire).

Though if you could save yourself the effort a bulb is pretty easy to acquire and setup.

A bulb is also meant to take heat, a jar could end up cracking on you.

Yes, do not try the jar. Any jar that I have used has cracked on me once I brought the tempurature down. I've also seen someone use a small liquor bottle that exploded! Yeah, so go with the bulb :)

I ended up trying it. Found that it took the jar a while longer to heat up. I ended up saying to hell with it and went back to practicing rolling joints.
