Nearly 3 months!

    Wooo! They're actually starting to look vaguely like dreads in photos! :D

    The only thing I've been doing is wool-rubbing, which I know can be bad if done too often... but I've found even a few minutes rubbing a day or two after washing does seem to make a noticeable difference. I know, I know, I should learn patience, hehe.

    wool rubbing? ive heard something of the sort, dont you take like a wool hat or sock and just rub in circles on your head or is their some other trick to it?

    Yeah, that's about it... I use a wool scarf and rub in clockwise circles which helps things tangle up. I rip sections apart sometimes but they seem to be naturally coming in fairly thin like that.
