I just came up with a good explanation for the other thread. (It is a very hard question to answer, the more time you spend in RAinbowland.) Most importantly, we're a family. Rainbow are people who realize that all humanity is a family, and behave in a manner that reflects that. Some of our brothers are sick, and it is not our place to judge them, but to allow them the space to heal, and to provide whatever else we can ourselves to help them heal. When you have a family, your priorities are different. The health and well-being of your family come before material gain or anything else. When the whole of humanity is your family, you are a healer first and foremost, and you approach everyone you meet with love, trust, honour and respect. (knowing your boundries is important for this, of course) Rainbows recognize each other not by dreadlocks and tie-dye and patchypants and stoned-out eyes, but by the way they approach each other openly.
Howdy Asheville! I'm currently holed up in Black Mountain. Be here or Chapel Hill for the next month or two. Here's the local Family homepage: http://welcomeho.bravehost.com/index.html And Deutchland, there would be some good "What is..." info for you there, too, but with a Southern accent

http://www.perkel.com/rainbow/glossary.htm <------ that site says it is: just like rainbow, it means different things to different people, to me personally it represents the silly regulations (beurocracy, fill-out-this-form-go-to-that-window kind of stuff) and restrictions that society puts on people. that glossary is off on some stuff, and has some stuff I've never heard of, but it's a funny kinda read edit: oh, my favorite derivitive of the term is "babylometer" used in referance to a watch, I heard a brother use it a bit ago, love that one
thats usually nic at night, yah... what is holding camp? ive asked this question b4 however my recollection of the answer is so vague in my mind
