    *moons Gary's warheads and army*

Meanwhile, up in the sky-- barely noticeable can be seen the menacing approach of a huge feather duster...

In the beginning, in the Sky World, a pregnant wife asked her husband to fetch the delicacies she craved. But she wanted the bark of a root of the Great Tree in the middle of the Sky World, which none were permitted to touch. Finally, however, he gave in, and scraped away soil to bare the root of the Tree. Underneath was a hole, and as the woman peered down into it, she fell through. The birds helped transport her as she fell, and the great Sea Turtle received her on his back. Here, on the Sea Turtle's back, she planted bits of the roots and plants she had brought from the Sky World. And she walked across the turtle's back, planting, praying and creating the Earth that we know as Turtle Island.

i thought everyone knew this

were the Iroquois Canadian or Americans?

I think they were matriarchal, so I'm guessing they lived in Quebec city??

Well, the exact moment my life started was in the ladies toilet in KFC on the left of Lime Street station, some time around midnight after a gig.

I was actually born 9 months later but seeing as we are being scientific.

Gosh people, this question was answered years ago by George Clinton.

Starchild (working for Dr. Funkenstein) came in an event known as the Mothership Connection and brought with him the holy Funk (the source of energy for all life)

well it may have started in auldivoi.

to say we were brought here by someone from someplace else. decended from them or crawled out of their lunch pail or what have you, really just beggs the question rather then answering it. becuse that's really no answer of origen, only of location. it doesn't answer where THEY came from. thus while possible, if kind of meaningless as any sort of an answer.

now all over this planet, including here in the western hemisphere where i live, there are cultures that have been right where they are, for nigh on to TEN THOUSAND YEARS, give or take a few hundred of course, EACH having THEIR OWN origen 'myths'.

i'm rather fond of crawling out of hallow logs or coyote having brought us one way or another.

i know there WERE landbridge migrations, but also many other routes are possible, even likely also, and a multiplicity of routes of protracted periods of time make excellent sense to me.

there are even a few legends of the 'landbridge time' that tell of meeting other people already here.

in addition to the bearing sea/landbridge, there are also the meritime archaic of the artic circle and then you have thor hyderthal's kon tiki.

so i think ALL of those routes may have been taken, and maybe even in some sense the 'aborigen' indiginous traditions speak of also. in one sense it is certainly possible protohumans might have migrated here and completed their transition to full sapience on western hemispher soil.

coyote draging us out of the sea is not conceptiually incompatable with such a concept, at least in my own mind. but again i'm not seeing any one route only as the whole answer but rather all of them, and quite likely yet others not yet considered.

Greenland but we wont find out about the other people who were on there cos they were playing in the snow and fell down a pit and we wont find their bodies for another few years. But when we do they will be preserved and we will fiond out loads of fact about them
