because Ashara isn't perfected yet, he's not enlightened yet..... The Dalai Llama understands we are all on different points in our life, and each have our own ideas.

haha.... yeah, Asahara will become a great guru some day?!
there are some points where you need some kind of reality check.
Was Hitler a good guy? Am I allowed to think Hitler did some wrong things?. Or maybe it is not allowed to think that. We all need to keep this amazing feeling of compassion and then everything is ok and nobody can ever do anything wrong?

sorry, but i think we need to be ALLOWED to think critically, it is just common sense, that's all

no, I mean in different lifes, different levels, different dharma, different rebirth.
    THINK
I obviously wasn't saying Hitler would achieve nirvana in that one journey.... or that Asahara will, but if you know anything about buddhism, you'll know that in Buddhism it teaches that we are all part of a bigger energy, a bigger nothing, and all climbing up the ladder to reach enlightenment, oneness with Brahman. So really, we're all smaller pieces of a bigger thing... everyone has potential for enlightenment, even the single blade of grass.

Don't confuse Brahma and Brahman - they are entirely different concepts. Brahman is thought of as the ground, the basis of all existence, Brahma is the Hindu god associated with the creation of the material universe.

Perhaps the Dalai Lama is practicing unconditional love.

    Peace and love

exactly... agreed. Its pretty sad a 36 year old woman can't see that, but two young people can understand the meaning of love and forgiveness and understanding. No wonder the war is supported by the older generation.

but who should we show more compassion to: to the man who ordered the killing, or to the dead people who got gassed ?

Perhaps you should learn about unconditional love.

    Laeyne,
You seem to be here to look down you nose at everyone, including the Dalai Lama. Do you need to feel superior to everybody? Most of us are doing the best we can do, whether that be eating the occasional meat, drinking the occasional can of Coka~Cola, or whatever. Keep up the good work and don't look down on me too hard please.

Perhaps we should be grateful that the donations were made.
