    hi everybody

Whenever i read in the car i get car sick. I can read for say 15 to 20 minutes before i start to feel really sick. It's funny because i never get car sick when i'm just looking out the window, it's only when i try to read. Anyone know why this is? Also it's a little off topic but does anyone know some good natural remedies for tonsilitus? I think that's how you spell it lol

if you are a passenger try sitting sideways in the back seat, it might work?!

if you have tonsilitus go to the doctor. if you have tonsilitus my guesses are that you would have a raging pain in your throat, for your own sake get some antibiotics and "panadeine forte" as prescribed by the doctor.

if you get a doctor that won't prescribe you this most basic of medication, you will need to find a doctor that will.

not allowing myself to be politically incorrect, you will find that certain doctors will not give you pain relief , they enjoy you to be in pain. think carefully about which doctor will be most likely to empathise with your suffering and most likely to cure it effectively.

I'm not an expert but I think its because your inner ear (which regulates your balance) is detecting all the bumps and turns and movement of the vehicle, while your eyes are trying to adjust to the stationary letters on the page.
I also can't read w/o getting carsick. But I've found that looking out the window helps counteract it (your eyes will then be adjusting on images that match the movements your inner ear is feeling)

People this post is pretty dang old, but I already typed this so here's some general information for ya:

Reading - I know if I'm tired or if I've been reading for multiple hours, I start to get a little dizzy-eyed sometimes. The words will blur and I'll start to feel a little spun. The text isn't aways so forgiving. It seems it's this plus actual motion getting to you.

Tonsillitis - Go to the doctor. Also, tonsillitis could be a symptom of something else that is causing your problem here (glandular fever).
Stay away from anything overly sweet, overly spicy, overly salty and avoid dairy. Lots've natural fruit/fruit products. No tobacco or alcohol, most doctors wouldn't recommend marijuana, but it didn't seem to do much harm for me =P
