anyone else heard of this shit or experience it? when you are in a dream and you know you are dreaming i had a fucking trippy one a day or 2 ago.

Ok so the other night im laying in bed at like 11 30 or 12ish time and i was tired in my body but i just couldn't go to sleep, and then i musta just blacked out.

i had one of those things where your just in a dream but you think you are awake, in the first one i was likefuck this and closed my eyes and went back to sleep. then in the second everyting was kinda gridded over and i felt that intense feeling of amazing ness that you feel when you close your eyes when your high, , and i was like ok im not awake. im dreaming

so now its one of those dreams where you know your in dreamland.

so... i get up outta the bed and walk through dreamland and i go to my living room and there is a fire place there with a tv in side of it playing some tv sitcom and it goes into a trippy vortext looking thing and i decide to fly into that thing then i get into it a little and then pop out and decide to go out side.

i walk up the street and down the other side of the hill of the road, there is like a big ass grass hill and those things you see roll across the screen in western cowboy movies like a buhck of sticks put together are lined down it like bushes, and i decide to go fly around to meet soem freinds and shit, i try like 3 times to fly and i just slowly pacachute to the ground each time then i wake up(for real this time), and im laying on my bed drooling and my tounge is hanging out.

that was fuckin trippiness. haha jsut thought i'd share that.

anyway anyone else experience dreams like this?

hmmm ive had alot of dreams like this but mine are always like right before i wake up. like i can hear things going on in the real world but im also in this crazy ass dream. everytime ive had one of these types of dreams i always try to stay in it to keep it going but as soon as i open my eyes and look around i lose it. sometimes i can get back into it but it just isnt the same.

i wondering if this has anything to do with wet dreams? i remember when i was younger i was dreaming about fucking some hot chick and woke up cumming. i know this sounds fucked up but i know its happened to other people before and it was like when i was 14. nothing like that has happened since but it seems like all my dreams happen on the verge of being awake.

don't think there's a connection between lucid dreaming and wet dreams.. unless you're sexing on some hot chick in your lucid dream. lucid dreams are just dreams in which you know you're dreaming, and you can control everything that happens in them. one of the finer natural drugs, in my opinion.

whenever I sleep in a new bed, there's like a 70% chance I'll have a wet dream. have no idea what the deal is.

yea i guess i did word that wrong because i only had that one dream where it went that far. ive had the same types of dreams but ive always woke up but never had a wet dream.

anyways i dunno if i could say that all my dreams are lucid or not. i thought lucid was just when you were aware of the real world while dreaming. i dont really have control over what happens in my dreams. they are like just playing out and i want to continue thinking about whats going to happen. its just so strange how after i wake up and look around i lose the dream. its hard to get back into it. as far as i can remember though all of my dreams were right on the verge of being awake. thats why for me its hard to remember what happens.

Well I've had crazy dreams, and ended up waking up at 3:00am thinking I'm still in the dream. My mind is so messed up that I don't even realise that I'm awake.

Those are just dreams in REM or rapid eye movement. Most of our vividly recalled dreams occur during REM sleep. And that can last up to 2 hours from when you first fall asleep.

Yeah i used to try and practice lucid dreaming, theres several techniques you can use before falling asleep to try and through yourself into a lucid dream. Its good fun, I usually spend my lucid dreams flying around.

    Lucid dreaming is pretty awesome.
I use to train myself during the day by checking clocks because for some reason, clocks and numbers get all mish mashed in dream world. So, I checked clocks constantly when I was awake to "check if I was dreaming" and this habit transcended into dream world so I checked a clock sleeping and it was all distorted and spinning and shit. So I got really, really excited and thought "I'm dreaming! YES! I finally did it!" and I got sooo excited I could feel myself waking up so I started spinning in my dream (I read somewhere this keeps you in deep sleep) but it was too late and I woke up and tumbled off my bed.

you did the clock thing and it worked? I tried it for a little while, but I didn't get to the lucid dreams. I had a few, spontenaously that was a while ago. How long did it take for the clock thing to work for you?

i've had those dreams a couple of times..
the last one i had was about a month ago.. i thought i woke up and was looking around my room, but i then realized that i always sleep with the tv on, and the tv wasn't on.. so i was like aw shit i'm dreaming, and i knew i was dreaming. and then after that i tried to wake myself up but i couldn't move my body and i kept saying wake up, you're just dreaming, and i had to jerk my body to be able to move again.
that happens in all the lucid dreams i have, though.

i've heard that you can control your dreams when you're in that state of dreaming if you train yourself, but i haven't read up on it that much

It probably took about a month for it to translate into dream world. And I was literally checking clocks every few minutes in waking life (time slowed to a fucking hault, haha). I even wore two watches, it was pretty intense... but it DID work

i think i understand. i have three stories.( i think the 3rd is the best).

I remember(and i think this happens most to people) it was early morning before i had to leave to go do something. I was sleeping and i woke up and i knew in about 30 mins i would have to get up and start with my morning routines(dressing, brushing,etc.). And in my mind i got out of bed, started putting on my clothes, but then i would wake up to find myself still in bed, and everything i had just done was reversed. I did it about 3 more times and it kind of sucked.

Also, ive had a dream and it was normal, but all of a sudden, my wordly mind knew i was dreaming. i thought to myself, do i want to end this? i opened my eyes and it was over. I had that same experience again and let the dream play out for a few seconds, and then woke myself up. ps i wasnt just awake and forcing myself to dream.

I had a dream a couple of years ago and all i remember now is that i was standing around some of my friends and they were all asking me why i was shaking. I woke up and my body had an uncontrollable shake. I piled blankets on top of me and it wouldnt stop. I thought it was cool how the dream did what i was doing in real life. It turned out(or at least i think) a reaction to a shot i had gotten earlier. It sucked too because it was the day before the first day of school. I didnt feel great that day.
