Obama, Clinton, McCain, and Huckabee. Ron Paul doesn't have a snowballs chance, so I won't include him, although he's a little goofy, to me, excepting he would stop the Feds from raiding, and make it a states rights issue. Only thing going for him. The other four suck, pretty much equally, IMHO. I have NO IDEA who I am going to vote for. the choices get worse every election. Maybe I'll just write in MARC EMERY, or maybe TOMMY CHONG, or maybe even Barry Cooper!
I wouldn't say Obama is a bad choice. It's better than the Bush vs. Kerry decision in '04. Peace and love
You're pretty much screwed given the fact that it's a two party state. Sorta screwed yourselves on that one.
Yea, thanks to our foreskinned-fathers for allowing that to happen! Obama is unproven. He sounds like John F. Kennedy, but would he REALLY get that much accomplished. They ALL scare the living hell out of me!
Just choosing the lesser of two evils, screwed no matter what way you vote, always been that way, always will be that way. Obama does not have enough experience in my opinion. Jeb Bush backs John MaCain, if a Bush agree's with MaCains policys thats just too scary. My dad seems to think that if Obama doesn't get in there, there will be rioting in the streets that will be total racial.
impossible, everybody in government is crooked in my opinion, everybody screws you in one way or another. It will never change, time has proven that. This world will slowly dwindle until it comes to an end, at leaste acording to bible prophesy. Nothing can be done about it. Government is one organization I will never trust. For those that wan't to vote, vote. I have nothing against a persons right to do so as much as I also have nothing against the people who choose not too. The majority of those voting will be the deciders. Everything you hear about the canidates is here say, I can't see what goes on behind closed doors.
we are screwed because Americans don't care enough to become informed about all the candidates to elect a good one, and America is screwed because the people aren't willing to put in the effort to try and make things better. As long as we get our nightly hour of American Idol and Fox Noise, we will sit idly by as greedy CEOs and politicians tear our country to shreds and destroy everything our forefathers fought and died for. The corporations, politicians, and bureaucrats are part of the problem. But if we aren't willing to stop being a herd of sheep and start fighting, then we have no one to blame but ourselves. Sitting in the armchair of the comfort zone and blaming the politicians for everything is just a cop out. Maybe if some more Americans would , instead of wasting their energy bitching at Bush, would actually fight for their own good, we could actually get somewhere.
Not hardly, big corporations and crooked government people will have the say no matter what, remember vote counts can be cheated, I don't want any of them making policies for me. Im not a violent person, I don't go out and cause problems with anybody but I dont trust the vote counts or the government no matter who is in there. I don't need a government to baby sit me, I can run my own life. My trust though for anybody or any organization anymore is very limited, I have been through a life of pure bullying and mental health problems to the point that I have become a hermit, hardly ever steping outside unless I have to go to the store. So you would not see me at the voting booths. Now for those that want to vote, vote. Im not standing in anybodys way. People are free to do as they please. There is no law saying they have to vote though. It's a matter of personal choice.
I refuse to believe that Americans did not play a large part in allowing corporations and government to get out of hand. It is not true at all that crooked government will always have the say. It didn't start out that way so it is theoretically impossible that it will forever stay that way. Abe Lincoln once said: "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you can never fool all of the people all of the time." There is a law of the land. Stronger than any corporation or government. Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come. Armies can silence some people and governments can build high walls. But an idea can change the world. When the governments fight with each other back to the stone age, it will not be the capitalists or politicians that survive. It will be us. The power has and will always lie with the Proletarians. All we have to do is take it.
I hope something comes out for the better but I just don't have much trust in the system. I wish the voters luck this election but i will be surprised if there is any decent amount of change. My most important concern is our freedoms, Thats what means the most to me. you can't really count on what the candidates tell you either because they will say anything to get into office. It never means they are going to do what they say, normally just the oposit happens. Best wishes to all this election. A positive I can say about Bill Clinton though is that when he left office there was quite a surplus, then we got George Bush and have over an 8 trillion dollar defecit and a tax cut plan that mainly only helps the rich who don't need it. My Idea of fair is based on need and not on who made more. I know my fathers tax break equaled out to about 67 cents per week on his pay check, WOW! I also don't want anybody in there who is going to get rid of my porn I have always been a big fan of the adult industry and strong amount of freedoms. One thing is for sure if I ever do get out and vote it certainly wont be republican cause they have never done much of anything to benifit my family or stand up for my kind of freedoms. Both parties have there faults to me though. I love what Larry Flynt has done with exposing some of these people in the white house, Larry Flynt is a true american in every sence of the word. If he was running for president I would vote.
"you can't really count on what the candidates tell you either because they will say anything to get into office. It never means they are going to do what they say, normally just the oposit happens." Apparently you haven't heard of the gentleman Ron Paul. Everyone calls him a kook, a clown, an idiot, an Al Queda sympathizer, or worse. He is the only man that is truly fighting for us. He isn't owned by corporations (look at who donates to his campaign) and if he was, the media would spread his message and he would win hands down. Do you know why they blacked him out completely? He has been fighting for what he believes in- personal liberty, conservative foreign policy, small government, and the Constitution. He fights for what he believes in even to the point of his own degredation.... Do you know of anybody else like that? He has been fighting for the exact same principals all his life. While Obama talks about hope and change, Ron Paul actually works for it. As I get older, I tend to pay a lot less attention to moving speeches and a lot more attention to a man's actions. Don't tell me he won't win. No shit, sherlock. I'm just saying. The only reason to vote disappeared when Paul lost steam during the early primaries.
And speaking of actions... have you actually looked at Obama's voting record???? Check that out and maybe you will get a more accurate picture of the man. I rest my case.
Voting records don't mean shit to me either. Sorry but you will never sell me on voting. I have never cared much for any earthly organization's that exercises control over me. I have always been that way and I will always be that way. I stay away from pretty much everything. Other people can do as they wish. I can also tell you right now that large corporations and other greedy people have so much contol in the government's of the world now that it's to late for the american people or people in any land. They will never let the people get a foothold on anything. No offence intended, if other people wan't to vote they are welcome to do so, if they don't want to they don't have to. No matter what amount of people vote, the majority of those that do will decide, that is if there vote actually counts because votes can miscalculated. I rest my case.
we have been so screwed for such a long time [i should say 'you' as i am now a citizen of the republic of lakotah]
Please don't NOT vote for him! Write him in if you don't find his name on the ballot, because he has not quit. There is nobody else to vote for. If you DON'T vote then you didn't get to have your say. If you don't speak up then there is one less chance that things will improve. I figure he's done more for this country already than the other candidates have, all put together. He's supporting Us and so I'm supporting HIM. It's a STATEMENT at this point, and an important one. And, apparently, a part of the revolution that has begun while most folks were sleeping. Everyone says they want SOME kind of revolution, but it seems to end up being all talk and no action. I've been staying on top of the current Ron Paul story. He is FAR from done, no matter what the disinfo machine says. And it's a LONG way to the elections...
Lest we forget, we are choosing between politicians. All of the candidates are politicians. So, which crooked liar do we want? I voted for Nader in 2000 and would like to remind the Ron Paul supporters of that debacle. The difference between bad and worse is much sharper than the difference between good and better. Please choose wisely when voting for the crook of your choice.
Oh... trust me.. I will vote for Ron Paul, no matter what happens There are plenty of cowardly fair weather supporters that are jumping ship right now which is absolutely disgusting. I'm going to vote for who I agree with... not who has the best chance of "winning" ... talk about flawed logic.
