been awhile since ive posted, but..5.5months in

those are coming along great. they're such a lovely size and look like they're locking up really well. you don't seem like you lost any length, either. luckyyy!

 

as for length, its definitely gained probably 2-3 inches. no way could I have pulled it back when i first started, now its an easy ponytail

 

that's really cool. mine are shrinking like crazy. i think i'll probably hit a year before they stop shrinking and then maybe i can gain some length back! my hair was past my shoulders before i started dreads and they're creeping higher and higher above my shoulders now. i bet without dreads, my hair would be halfway down my back!

 

same here man, my dreads shrank like 3 or 4 inches at first! i'm almost 7 months now, and they've started to grow again... probably about 2 inches since they stopped shrinking. it'd be interesting to see how long my hair would be if i took them out. but i wouldn't do that no matter how interesting it would be lol!

dude, your locks look awesome man. yay for the 5.5 months! you're almost to 6 months, and that's halfway through your first year! big milestones man, big milestones!

 

thanks for the compliments. to add a bit, thats why im glad to have started short because as the hair grows it grows into dreads, instead of shrinking and then dreading. to me it feels like it takes the same amount of time to have established dreads either way.

Out of all the Natural locks being posted, these are probably my favorite.
Dude, they grew into dreads so nicely, and they came out to great sizes too.

Please dude, enlightenment with the techniques you used. Do you use Sea Salt and water, and how often do you wash?
