    Im curious since this took place in Glasgow what your (the UK populous) thoughts are concerning stephen armstrong's sentence?

    The law is the law though man.
    I mean in this country the government is making it easier to kill or maim burglars if they break into your house but if its on the street then you cant kill people because you are meant to be in a public space - personally I say anyone who carries a gun or knife is up to no good and if they get killed after they threaten someone with it then the plea should be "no case to answer" on the grounds of fair self defence unless the person who killed them was armed.

    If it was me i would have run the bastard over and reversed over the **** several times then for good measure would have set the dog on him

    In Britain the police have a shoot-to-kill policy if someone is armed with a gun or bomb and a policy of knocking the guy out with a baton to the head or arms if he is armed with a knife (tazars etc)
