Well my apartment is looking kinda plain and boring so i thought i might spice it up with some plants. I dont really know anything about this so i thought i would come here and see if i could get some suggestions of good plants for a beginner (ones that can take some punishment and are easy to grow).

Pothos, jade, kalenchoe, sansevieria, spider, kentia palms...these are just a few I can think of at the moment.

Aloes are a nice vivid shade of green, and pretty hard to kill ... except they can't take extreme cold! I've got a bromeliad that finally BLOOMED! It does spice up the place!

    gardeners suggestions plus mother-in-laws tongue.

Those are all very easy and wonderfully green.

Yes, the snake plant is another good choice.

Well right now ive ended up with an african violet, norfolk island pine, and a dieffenbachia. Should be getting a spider plant and once it warms up more ill start with some vegetables.
