I have a few things that I wanna post about so I thought I'd just do it in one thread. Any opinions, comments or answers to any of my questions would be appreciated. I remember reading in several places about making psychic connections but I cant remember any specifics. One particular connection was being on the fone with a friend both of you have a pen and paper and without talking during the process one friend thinks very strongly about an object and you draw it then vice versa. Does anyone know if there are any specifics to this? and does anyone know of any other cool psychic connections and/or fun games with them (particularly without seeing the person physically as in not being physically around them at the time)? Another thing, I can tap into peoples minds, tell them things through thought. Well only babies at the moment lol, but I can't figure out what they are thinking? bit i wonder if they are not thinking anything? or am i just out? lol When i put a pen in my hand, after concentrating for only a minute, sometimes less, certain spirits begin to write through me. What is this called? At times I randomly hear a buzzing noise followed by random voices, (clairaudience?), how can I harness this so that I can make sense of what is being sed? I have a wonderful connection with a guy, not in an in love way (by the way lol), we are pretty much the same person. We have EVERYTHING in common and think in sync quite often. It is very interesting, almost as if we have a twin thing lol. We both love it. Does anyone know of any even cooler things that we can use this for? or how we can experiment with it? This is a good exercise. Also, you can have your friend think of a number and you can guess. You can have her look at a playing card and you can begin by guessing color, then suit, then number. You can haver her think of a color or write a color on paper and you can guess. Common shapes, like those used in zener cards, can be very good to use. I like colored shapes in my zener cards It's easier to pick up on. You could just be blocked, or maybe there is nothing significant to pick up on. Automatic writing. It's how I found out my spirit guide's name. I've been a clairaudient since I was 16. I still can't pick up those little voices that hide in the white noise just under the surface. I've tried to ask them what they want, who they are, etc. But it's either that they don't notice me, I'm tapping into something beyond here, or they they are ignoring me. Both of you should read "Jounrey of Souls" by Dr. Michael Newton. It's very insightful.
of all you mentioned , this seems the most worthwhile to work on understanding . you were once a baby . you know . you can remember anything of you that you want to . it's a natural and pure language of direct feeling . even in a world of words , it's still this that decides what is most important and real . it's the music .
des10e's comment on this was good--also it occurs to me that babies are more receptive than teens and adults, because they haven't learned to filter out very much yet. For us to be that receptive, we need to unlearn our filtering skills--to drop our filters when we want to. Meditation can help with this--practice sitting and being aware of as many things at once as you can--sights, sounds, sensations, thoughts, feelings--and then try expanding your bubble of awareness to take in a larger part of your surroundings. Yes, as des10e noted, it's called automatic writing. I've done this, too. It can be fascinating sometimes--one spirit wrote out instructions for making lots of money--and it all made perfect sense, but the phraseology was very odd--old fashioned, and almost like somebody trying to speak in an unfamiliar language. The meditation I described above might help with this, also. Have you ever tried communicating with each other telepathically?

Connections are a critical part of the psychic process. Familiarity and communication are what forms these connections. Contrary to Hollywood myth these connections are how we read each others' minds and otherwise communicate information without visible or verbal usage. As for your automatic writing that is a form of channelling. When you channel you are relinquishing control of part of yourself and allowing some kind of spiritual being to come through.
I agree, I've always considered psychic abilities and spiritualism to be fundamentally different--yet I think the ability to use one helps with the other--or maybe more accurately, skill in one might correlate to a higher probability of skill in the other. This gets us to a question/issue I've been dealing with for some time: It seems to me that psychic abilities are granted to us by spirit guides. So to what extent then does spiritualism influence psychic ability?
I never meant to segragate the two. They are very much one in the same, although spiritualism denotes a more faith based belief system.
This seems to be possibly a disconnect in our individual understanding of the terms--I had always thought that the word "spiritualism" specifically denoted communication with spirits--spirit mediumship being one of the most prevalent examples. The term "spiritual" is used in a much broader sense--including an aspect of all religions--as you say, a faith-based belief system. It seems to me you're equating "spiritualism" with "spiritual." If you check out the Wikipedia entry on spiritualism, I think it bears out my interpretation of the term. This discussion is of course a bit of an exercise in hair-splitting, but I do see a borderline, albeit a possibly fuzzy one, between psychic phenomena and spiritualism. Yet as I said before, it seems to me that there is maybe some connection, and that possibly the spirits control the psychic.
At higher levels it all comes down to the same stuff and that's where the border gets really fuzzy. If one could see into the astral plane you would see that these are extremely similar.
