I did not mean to suggest that you were anything. I just included women as opposed to just men. To me Gay is both sexes.

Homosexuality is as ancient as mankind as far as I can dither. People have also always discriminated but at times to a lesser degree. Discrimination has been around since laws.

Every law is permission and compulsion to discriminate against whatever the law spoke to. Sometimes with reason, sometimes without.
ot all laws are good laws.

If the Bible is what it claims to be, the word of God, don’t you think that even if God or his son Jesus never personally wrote a single word of it, don’t you think that the Omnipotent Omniscient God, the one with the power and intellect to create the universe could do a little thing like making sure that what he wanted said was said in it and that no one was putting words in his mouth.

 

well here you are giving "God" human like characteristics, and personally, I dont think of God as some old man in the clouds. I think most real spiritual people don't.

 

Even real spiritual people sometimes use Anthropomorphism, check the Bible for yourself.

The Christian God loves everyone and does not hate anyone. You are mistaking his hatred of what is bad for hatred of those who do what is bad. God hates what is bad but does not hate those who do what is bad. It’s the actions and not the people that he hates.

 

If love the sinner and hate the sin is as you indicate is the policy then why kill the sinners that He loves?

Why not eliminate the sinning nature and leave the sinners to live. his would be better than looking like a genocidal maniac.

I'm not sure how alone on this I am, but I think some things could have been added to the bible by various people throughout history with a hidden agenda. I also believe that God is genuinely good and without human flaws, like hate and violence.

 

dude not every christian feels that way...Instead of asking the question why respect the christian god? Why not ask, why are these people trying to run my life such buttheads?? They dont represent every christian and their beliefs.

 

Does this mean that you do not believe in the flood or the other places where God kills.

what he is saying is that everyone is a cherry picker nowadays. they read the bible, they like some of it, and they dont like other parts of it.

therefor only the parts they like could POSSIBLY ever be true.
we live in an age where everyone defines God according to their own beliefs.
If you do this, you dont serve the traditional christian God, rather, you are calling yourself God.

 

Have you guys really thought this through, is this really the best you can come up with?
