So I'm brand new to the forum etc and very inexperienced with marijuana. Only gotten high a half dozen times, but wanted some input from you more experienced people.

The first time I ever tried marijuana was while I was peaking on mushrooms (not the brightest idea probably, especially considerring it was the first time I'd done mushrooms too, but to be fair, I wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the box at the time). It was "chronic", and I honestly don't remember it affecting me that much, though it may have just upped the mushroom trip. Long story short, absolutely nothing bad happened the entire night and it was a phenomenal experience.

Anyway, every time I've done marijuana since then, it's induced a mushroom-esque trip that lasts for maybe an hour and a half rather than 8 hours. I'm thinking this is probably due to my brain's association of THC to mushrooms.

I smoke "dro" (which I guess is higher quality than shwag? was given some by a friend) out of a water pipe using a torch lighter, and after taking only 1, MAYBE 2 hits, I'm tripping and hallucinating within 3-5 minutes.

Is my mind automatically reverting to how it was behaving while on mushrooms? Or am I mistaken and this is just how a high feels? Of the maybe 5-6 times I've smoked (with like 1-2 weeks or more in between), 4 of them have produced vivid hallucinations, including but not limited to a visual "stretching" (think Poltergeist when the woman's running down the hall and the hall stretches on and on), "slanting" (quite literally my "oval" of vision becomes a trapezoidal shape, slanting everything to the right or left), and even seeing dream sequences if I close my eyes.

Don't think I've ever been just "buzzed" before. It's always hallucination.

Anyhow, I've talked long enough. Mind giving your input? Possibly even a story of what happens when YOU'RE high.

THC is not Psilocybin and psilocyin.

    THC is very powerful.

    It affects everybody slightly different.

well you said you haven't been high that much so you probably have a pretty low tolerance and if your friend is giving you "dro", then you probably are just getting some potent weed and that in combo with low tolerance eis probably why you get so high, ive hallucinated of weed a handful of times, not tripping but marijuana can cause hallucinations. enjoy it man you may not always get that high.

thats weird that that is happening to you. in psychology i learned that since cocaine will produce a chemical rush everytime u do it, if you do coke and listen to a certain song everytime, then in the future you can get a little high from listening to that song. it could be the same when you smoke weed. your brain associated the weed with your mushroom trip. its mostly psychological though, if you try not to think about it so much it might go away.

Hmmm, I'm going to make an effort to always listen to the same song or two when I get high now.

I have nothing to add other than you said you are using a torch lighter. Try using a regular bic style lighter it wont burn your bud as fast.
