10 mg of Oxy

My friend wants me to try 10mg (half a pill) of oxy with him sometime. I'm kind of unsure about it. I know the risk of addiction and if I do, i'm telling him i'm only doing it once. Curiosity has the best of me though. Is this a big deal? I know it's a small dose so it's probably not that bad..

Thoughts? Experiences?

 

Go for 20mg, 10 will be weak and you will be rather dissapointed at the astonishing potential such a chemical could have on you.

Expect to feel warm, fuzzy, euphoric, etc.

Oh and fuck that idea of addiction, you only really start getting withdrawls after doing it for days on end.

Oh by the way what form is it in? (oxycodone, oxycottin, percoset, etc.)

 

uhhhh its really easy to get addicted to opiates lol...mainly because they are so good they take over your life, just don't do it and go on with your life

 

It is definitely Oxycontin because percs don't dose up that high because they are fast acting. Oxycontin are time released so you need to get the coating off and then snort it, or take it orally. I love oxy above all pills except xanax. 1 Bar and a dank bowl was the comfiest I have been ever. I do like taking 2-4 percs though, and then having a nice smoke.

Edit: That was my first time taking xanax. I haven't had any since, but next time I will definitely take at least 2 bars.

 

Fuck off man don't be doin' oxy. You don't need that stuff. You know how many people I know that are hooked on that shit? Like, in actuality, half the people in this fucking province are on the oxy.

Not to say that I haven't tried it... but from experience I say it's not worth it.

10mgs will very likely have little to no effect. Yes they can be very addictive, but its not as if you are hooked the first time...or even the first couple. I personally love the stuff, and it certainly goes great with some marijuana. If you aren't really all that interested in trying it, probably better to steer clear. Don't give in to any pressure, try it on your own terms.

 

Yeah it's not like I take pills every day, let alone every week. When nice pills are available to me at a decent price, I pick them up.

the time release has nothing to do with the coating in any way, the time release is built into the pill itself, the wax coating is simply used for naming/labeling

 

You crush it to release it from its microencapsulation. I would think that the time release is in the coating, otherwise it would still be time released once you break it up.

The time release is in the coating with Oxycontin, the time release in gel form within the pill itself is MSContin which is morphine, whereas Oxycontin is thebaine.
And newradicalface, you most definitley can get Oxycodone in 20mg doses without the time release, it's called Roxycodone or Roxicet.

I don't think i will.. I have a really addictive personality and If I really liked it i don't know if i have the willpower to keep it to one time.. and from there things spiral out of control.

The reason i posted this in the stoners lounge was because in the opiates forum everyone would simply tell me to go for it, that's not what i was looking for. I wanted a mix of opinions from fellow stoners. Last night on erowid i read a lot of fucked up stories of addiction about oxy.. people moving to herion, etc.. While I doubt that would happen to me i really don't want to get mixed up in it and I'm worried for my friend too, he's not smart about this kind of stuff. I've warned him but it's not like he'll listen to me, he's reckless.

 

In reality, the Opiate forum is filled with more people who would advise you not to start then here, but I guess you are just unaware of the characters who lurk there like myself. It's ok, we're pretty weird anyway
And if you have an addictive personality, your best bet is definitley to avoid it. Out of all the drugs in existance, opiates are the ones that are the most alluring, the most illusive, and the most unpredictable. EVERY person who gets addicted thinks the same thing, and before you know it, it's to late. The high is not exactly a high perse, more like perfection in mood and comfort. That's the reason it's such an illusive addiction, because you dont take more to get high, you take more to remain sane.
You are most likely making a very wise choice by showing your fear to the drug, that is the respect if deserves.

Yeah... i just hope my friend respects my decision too. He's very pushy but i always stand my ground (cigarettes for instance). Probably not a very good friend but i think he's just trying to share his experiences with me, not trying to mess up my life or anything, though that could happen if I listened to everything he told me.

I also am getting my teeth out, that's why I was going to try it, to get a feel for it idk. But i'll just wait until i have a legal prescription i guess. I don't want to get in the habit of doing it recreationally, and you should be careful too you're only 15.

 

Yea, well I dont think this constitutes a bad friend, from what you say about this friend it sounds like he is not trying to ruin your life, but rather is insecure and feels like he needs to have a partner in his psychonautic adventures. What people like this need to realize is that the exploration of one's own psyche is a personal journey and many of the times we explore, we go it alone. I, including most of my friends during high school, were like this as well, until the past 2 years or so I have found out how to be content in going alone. If someone wishes to join in with me, the more the merrier. But if I offer someone something and they show an uncomfortable hesitation, I leave it alone.
The best thing to do is just stick by your friend, guiding by silence through proper behaviour over time is much better than preaching in almost all situations. Not all of us have that patience though.

Well I need to look into those .

I'm not sure if they make 10 mg xanax. I thought the highest the XRs went up to was 3 mg. They might make a generic of something that goes higher, but I really doubt it. 10mg of xanax is a lot to have in one pill and still try to convince the government it is for "prescription" use only.
