I don't know if this has already been posted, but I really love this movie! The visuals were really great, the movie had a nice soundtrack, and it really just made me want to be dead (Who doesn't want a whole world to themselves?) The only thing I didn't reallylove, was the ending. For me, it was just okay. Anyone else here seen it?
Well, I saw the first two thirds of this movie about 4 years ago in a small guesthouse in Bikaner, India. I was really enjoying it and it seemed like the movie was coming to a turning point, maybe towards something a little darker. Anyway, there was a power cut and I never got to see the end. A few people who I know have seen it and each of them complain about the end. That is why, I probably will never watch it again and don't want anybody to spoil it for me. The part that I saw frequently makes appearances in my dreams, diving into paintings and flying, and I want to keep the sense of wonder I felt when I watched it.
I also wished I hadn't seen the ending, because it was such a magical movie until then (don't worry, I won't spoil it)
This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I agree that the ending wasn't what I expected at all, but overall, it was awesome. I consider it one of the ultimate love stories and like to dream that kind of love really exists. I hate love stories in general, but this was so far away from the norm... it was about family love, not just love between a man and woman... but, at the same time, it was about self-discovery.
One of my favorite movies.. thought is real, physical is the illusion is just a good thought if you ever find yourself fixated on the material things and limitations of this life.. it really helps refocus on what is most important.. I personally loved the ending.. but we can't all love the same things..
