i got my belly button pierced on jan. 11th and its still pretty around around the hole. it doesn't ever hurt usually but theres just like dead skin around it and stuff. no fluid ever comes out. it this normal? last i talked to my piercer he said i could come in march 11th and get the hoop changed to a barbell (i chose a hoop to start with) did anyone else have this problem with redness? i know my other piercings never stayed red for long. Tragus: well i got my tragus done thanksgiving weekend and it was fine but for about a month or so it's red around the whole in front and theres always dried blood crusted onto it. i've tried everything and i don't know how to get it to heal properly i also talked to my peircer about this and he told me to use "emu oil and clean it" which i have been but still nothing. its frustraiting but i really don't want to take it out i love. am i only having problems with these peircings because they both take very long to heal completely?
The first thing I notice is that your navel piercing isn’t even pierced in the proper location. You basically have a surface piercing on your belly. Looks to me like it is rejecting. Your tragus looks irritated. Could be from sleeping on it. Could be quality of jewelry. Could be the way you are taking care of it. What are you cleaning them with?
satin soap i do the saltwater soaks sometimes. i don't want to take my belly one out i love it it's never looked any different to me then where my friends have it? i went to a very respected shop and piercer for it. plus maybe it will look different once i go back and have a barbell put in
Start doing salt soaks daily. 1/4 tsp sea salt to 8 oz of distilled water. As for the navel. It isn't going to look different with a barbell in. It is not in the right location. It isn't even in your navel, it is above it. This is what a proper navel piercing looks like. See how it actually goes through the navel, unlike yours which lies above. Whether you keep it or have it done in the proper location is up to you. You could be left with a nasty scar.
that fucking sucks i dont have money to get it done again either. what the hell do i say? "oh you did it wrong take it out" i dont know. story of my life
so i got it taken out by a different guy. awesome. he said wait 6 months then get it done again if i wanted so i guess thats what i'll do. i feel completely naked without it. im really sad =[
I know that feeling.I probably shouldn't even be saying this as I am no professional but I think you could have it repierced earlier than 6 months. Was the guy who took it out in the same shop you got it pierced or did you go to a different one?
Yeah that was definately terrible placement.. Should of tried to have words with the piercer who did it, even if not for a refund/repierce but to try to improve him/herself for the future.. Definately would be possible to repierce in less than 6 months also, although it is common to have a, red-dot type raise on your navel for quite some time after being pierced. If it seems bad get your piercer to look at it but its not uncommon for them to form for a short time (well.. can take a while) but theyre generally just a regular thing that will go away. And a bit hard to tell from the picture.. but the tragus seems fine, just healing. Follow pomunus's cleaning advice. Well as long as 8oz = 1cup/250mL. Ounces are the one thing I don't understand.
i went to a different piercer one who i've been to before he did my lip last summer. i will go to him for piercings and the other shop for tattoos (the place that did my belly) becuase their tattoos are simply amazing (they did the peace sign on my back) (in my gallery) how much sooner do you think i could get it done again? at first he told me six months then he told me eight because swimming wouldnt be an issue. but i dont swim anyway. i feel sooo less confident and sexy with out it you know? because it's like no one knows that under the stuff i wear i had it pierced and the hoop looked awesome haha i don't know maybe thats silly. i have to say it was probably my favorite piercing.
