Hello everyone, I just heard on my radio that there is a new drug dealers are selling around my area called Cat, Kat or something similar. It is described as a leaf that is chewed... It sounds like it something similar to jimson weed, trumpet tree or something else that works like that... Sounds kind of sketchy and dumb, does anyone know anything about this? :bigear:

That's the stuff that the Somalians are chewing in the movie/book "Blackhawk Down."

It's a stimulant. It's a precursor to methcathinone. I've never chewed it, but it's supposed to be pretty similar to coca leaves or betel nuts.

it's called khat--i've chewed it once before--in Cape Town. the leaves and tender stem part. it is very pleasant, similar to cocaine but smoother and no bad comedown. gives energy, mental clarity and chattiness. i've also read (in Dark Star Safari by Paul Theroux) that it's very popular in some parts of Africa--some chew it all day long.

Here in the UK you can buy it off a market stall, its not illegal either.
I've never tried it personally but I might get some soon, see if its any good.
A large bundle only costs about £3-£5 so its worth a try.
