Living here in Las Vegas, I have had the chance to meet many people. Way too many to list, and probably have forgot more than I can remember. But just a few that I have met and chat with would be Rodney Dangerfield(what a hoot), Walter Trout, Coco Montoya, Joe Bonamassa, Ted Nugent, Sammy Hagar, and many others, including of course, the entire Wishbone Ash band, which I have met on many occasions, helping them load and unload equipment, buying them drinks and whatever.
I met Brian Welch...formerly known as 'Head' from Korn...he came to talk about his new book at a Borders in Tysons Corner He was really nice! He signed the purse I painted (I think he really liked it! ) He signed right in the middle of the psychedelic rainbow
I am friends with the son of Les Thompson so I've met the man. He was one of the founding members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band back in the 60's. One of the coolest old people I've ever met.
I work in journalism, and at a folk venue, and my sweetie did dyes for some notable bands, so a list would be an embarrassment, but the coolest meeting by chance was (the late) Allen Woody of Gov't Mule. My total awkward fan moment was the first time I met Arlo Guthrie, and I was so nervous, my latent stutter roared to life and I could barely get "Thanks for playing some of your dad's songs" out. I was such a geek. Still sort of am.
Ive seen a bunch of gangster rappers around..warren G, snoop dogg, nate dogg (the singing gangster) one of my best friends is OG radios little brother and I smoke weed with tray dees son. Outside of the longbeach rap scene...Duffy Jackson, Jay Leonhart, Joe Henderson and a bunch of lesser known jazz guys you've probably never heard of.
My sister was friends with Ben Gibbert. went to highschool with him and shiet. (lead singer of postal service and death cab for cutie) I met him back in the day, although I was only like 7 years old.
