Lights of the red spectrum will tend t grow leggy plants ie tall and not v bushy whiles blue will grow shorter plants but bushy. Even sodium is lacking in blue but works fine, there are sodium lamps with extra blue range in the output called son. an extra blue actinic light will top up the missing spectrum ya looking for.

I have a red and blue envirolite, and the blue one should suit your needs very well. However i do think you could use your red one just fine.
Envirolites are basically just normal CFLs , just bigger. If you look at the colour signature on the bulb it'll say 2600k (red - exactly the same as a small normal CFL) .. same for the blue at 6000k ... just a large version of a small normal daylight CFL.

Think of light as color; 4200L is cool, longer frequency, more

    blue/white:>)

This is spring time light, plants all over the world wait for

it.......wait for it... Yay we can put forth leaves and

    prosper!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the other end; 6500L is hotter, more of the red spectrum,

    white/yellow/red to the human eye.>P

When the plants see this of course they know it's time to flower

    and produce fruit.>)

If you google Hortilux or any light co. they have spectrometer

read outs for their different lights to give you a better

    idea.>)

As all this pertains to mj; MH lights are illuminating at about

    4200L, great for vegging. HPS are illuminating at about 6500L;

great for flowering and work good for vegging also. CFL's fall

    in the 4200L -5400L I think.

Incandecent's are made for humans so they don't have many colors

that thriving plants require, 5400L Yellow/white narrower band

width than either MH, HP, Or CFL's;>)

This is a very general explanation hope it helps!>O
