can dmt be used as a party drug or would you suggest not being around a bunch of people. What setting should dmt be done for the best and safest experience.
You're gonna want to be indoors, definitely. Have a good friend around and soft lighting. Make sure you're comfortable and sitting down above all. Have the friend take the pipe when you lose awareness of it. Definitely don't do it at a party.
I think it should be used the same way as salvia. Indoors. In a completely dark place, with just a candle on. A friend next to you (sitter) Sitting in a comfortable way
I would imagine it wouldn't be fun dosing on it with drunks in a party(not like alcohol would be the only psychoactive that makes people obnoxious and violent). I couldn't imagine drunk people giving a hard time(making fun of you, hitting you, etc.) to someone on dmt. That def. would be hell. So no, def. not for a party unless you deliberately want to have a bad trip.
no f'ing way, to put it lightly. stick to pot and booze for that. 36fucking5 described the ideal setting.
it's similar in structure, so the serotonin receptors sites recognize it as serotonin when dmt binds to those sites. the molecule then does it's own chemistry once it binds
I see. They're both tryptamines, and they both float around all the time... so DMT isn't a neurotransmitter it's just an alienworldtransmitterkey?
something like that. like lsd, it's a skeleton key. technically, you can consider it a neurotransmitter, though it does its own chemistry at receptor sites
DMT is not a party drug. It is good to have a friend or two with you, and tripping together can be a blast. Be in a comfortable enviroment where you can relax and chill.
nice. dmt binds 5HT receptors because it emulates the 'induced fit' binding model at 5HT sites, but they essentially described it as such by stating that several tryptamines can bind to serotonin... they actually bind g-coupled trace amine receptors with greater affinity, so do chemicals like tyramine and phenylalanine. indeed, "true neurotransmitter" and "mimic" is a matter of semantics, the real evolutionary part was the development of mRNA transcripts for INMT...the synthesis of DMT (via tryptamine methylation) in the first place.
