I know lots of people take lsd to go on 'spiritual journies' and stuff. I was just wondering; I don't really have many strong beliefs in anything, do you think I could find what I believe in through lsd? P.S. I apologize if I sound like a twat
totally... just don't underestimate it, be prepared for something more profound than you can even comprehend
very well said! a lot of people will tell you a lot of stuff about what lsd is to them, but this is by far the best way to put it
Profound? The fact of when you try to analyse the pattern of nature you will never be able to see its true form for as you become focused on the pattern it takes over your entire reality.
I would not advice anybody to do lsd till they are sure of there own self beliefs. Ok ya might find something wonderfull and enlightening but ya could also find ya self a hole bunch of troubles.
Yes you can. LSD will forever open the doors of perception. Once opened, you will see things in a different perspective from different veiw points. You cannot be close minded about it though, are you may never know that you have obatined such knowlege.
yeah I defidently agree with this. I had a girl trip for the first time with me once and she was trying to figure out what she beleived in because she just realized how corrupt and idiotic christianity was and she had no idea what she beleived in. Well to make a very long story short, she is even worse off now... she feels completely hopeless and angry towards all persons beleifs and she doesn't beleive anything now... watch out.
I see what you mean there but I don't really have ANY strong beliefs so how could I find troubles if ther is nothing there to begin with. Yes there are a few things I believe in but they are so strong and concrete that I don't think any amount of drugs could change them. I guess I will just have to find out, if I find a whole bunch of troubles that a risk i'm willing to take if theres the possibility it could help me discover new beliefs. Thanks for the replies everyone BTW.
there in lies your problem. you are completely wrong. you can't understand the power of lsd. lsd isn't really a drug in that sence, and I'm saying this from my experience, and everyones different but from when I've been with lucy, you cannot think that anything is safe from her. she can see all, change all, and there is nothing you can do about it. There are no barriers between your brain and her and she can and will do what ever she pleases.
Ok, so lets take one of my only concrete beliefs which is that I know there is not a god, that is something which is crystal clear to me and that I could never be swayed on. Do you think LSD could change that? Surely if it did it would just be making me believe random things for no reason rather than making me believe in the 'truth'. IDK, I guess i'll just have to try it, see what happens.
I think LSD is a tool TO find out your own beliefs. Say for instance the person finds themselves in a whole bunch of troubles - they find out their been living the wrong life. These troubles, you are against? If their reality is awoken to them, it may not be enjoyable, but would you not agree with me in saying they then have the potential to mend this reality from their new profound understanding of it. Would this shift in perspective not be positive for the person? I sure would think so.
Yes. After a week or at the most probably a couple months, you should have reflected enough on your experience to properly 'fit in' all the new insight you recieved...LSD obviously won't give you hard evidence that there is a God, and if you think you're communicating with another being on any drug, it's only sensible that the being is a part of you, in your head. What acid DOES do, is offer you a new way and direction of thinking that you would have never in a million years been able to conceive or imagine before taking it. In the end, after you put everything in perspective, if you are so adamant that a higher being does not exist, then you probably will be able to look at the psychedelic experience and say, "this is something that a chemical did to my brain, and nothing more." Which is just as valid as any other explanation. But, in the end, you never know. You could learn something about yourself that could change your mind about that. However! If you are taking acid just to find god, or something else that you think you're missing, keep in mind that it just isn't that simple. Psychedelics aren't the answer to anything, but they can help you find them.
