I'm not trying to 'find god' or anything like that, I just want to understand myself and the world better.

    good call pizzi

a good lsd trip will definitely change the way you think about things. That is why it is considered so "dangerous". Its not the physical effects that are that bad, its the way it makes you think about things lol. But i think it changes you for the better personally....atleast i feel like im a better/more diverse/understanding person after an lsd experience lol

that is the most valid explaination. All other explainations are conjecture. Especially your mystical explainations. That's not to say LSD can't teach you anything, LSD taps into a lot of different parts of your brain, including the part that dispositions humans to believe in a higher power...

but in response to the OP now, as I say LSD is about a lot more than belief, and truly it can be about anything that lies in the psychedelic jungles of your mind... which is everything and anything you hold dear, or should hold dear, or don't hold dear at all but has an impact on your life

I have to completely disagree. The prime candidate for psychedellics is one that does not hold any conception in their brain relating to the word 'belief'.

Telling someone to 'figure out their beliefs' before there first time on LSD seems to me like your setting them up to just have everything torn out from under them. I don't even think it's possible to comprehend the complexity of the notion 'belief' until you've had a strong psychedellic experience.

And Chunk, I wasn't trying to find 'God' on LSD. He found me. Oh boy did her ever. Just popped our right in front of me all like 'HERE I AM" WAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAAH. That was on my first go with a relatively small dose at that and like in the first 2 hours. I really can't even fathom how some people miss it. It's like, the most obvious thing in existence.

If ya not already gotten into the habit of expanding ya self by questioning and reasoning then ya really should stay clear of taking it for this purpose coz ya really wont understand what its has shown ya or worser still ya could jump t the wrong conclusion. My last post.... Put it this way clunk click every trip. Ya beliefs are like a safely belt in the car. Kinda like a safe zone ya can always return to. And its from this zone ya do your reflecting and expanding from.

i think this is a belief that is really easy to alter under the influence of psychedelics....
