I have been thinking of emigrating to either canada or australia because im sick of the british way of life.
I was just wondering how easy it would be to secure work in these countries? Im a fully qualified plumber and have little debt to wory about at the minute.
Dont know if this interests anyone or if anyone knows much about it but cheers!:)

you will have no problems finding work in Australia, especially as a certified plumber. in WA you could earn great money laboring ($30+/hour, as many hours as you want) and on the east coast there is a general shortage of manpower. you can get a working holiday visa, and if you wanted to stick with your plumbing, get a sponsorship, and you've got yourself a four-year working visa.

go to Alberta/Calgary, they have a massive shortage of workers and pay a huge premium for certified workers. The only thing i would find out, is if your certification is good in Canada. Plumbers are in demand all across Canada, just do not move to Quebec because you will need to learn French.

I spent a year there. WA is booming with development. they are building shit at a near-asian rate on the west coast, and since it's so fucking desolate they're essentially bribing people into going. my buddy worked 12 hour days, six days a week, laboring. he saved up a lot of cash, real fast.

if you really want to go, a good option might be to work may/june to august/september in WA, then move over to the east coast for summer. lots of good places to go, no matter what your preferred activities are.

Alberta's the place to be... the economy out there is booming right now. A buddy of mine from Calgary was telling me you can make $15 an hour even doing shit jobs like working at McDonalds.
