I cant remember the entirety of the dream, but heres what i recall

something big had just happened, like a war coming to australia(where i live) or something like that. and my dad got drafted and didnt go to war.
then suddenly the dream skipped to a few weeks later when for some reason i was really sad, and i walked out into the kitchen, and muttered to my dad "you have to die" and then he accepted it and went into his room, then i heard a gunshot and a guy in a black suit walks out and says to me "it had to happen" and he walks out the door.

thats when i woke up, i felt like i had just had the best sleep in a long time, but i was still tired and was in a really "on edge" type of mood. i walked out into the kitchen to say good morning to my dad, and my mind was almost forcing me to say "you have to die" but i didnt.

i got really freaked out about it and was in a shitty/paranoid type mood all day

what are anyones thoughts on this?

when i was thinking about it today it reminded me alot of the book 1984 how the guy in the black suit said "it had to happen"

Gun shots usually portend coming verbal arguments (since they symbolise violence.) You r father dying probably means that there is a new opportunity coming his way, or at least something old dies away, like antiquated beliefs and prejudices. (For all you know he may soon be fired from his job. I only surmise this because of the third figure saying that 'it had to happen.' In which case the war can mean economic upheaval at his company, for example.)

Ask your father what his dreams have been like for the past few weeks. If they seem perfectly normal, then there is every possibility that a new relationship will form between you and your father.
