Hi there So in a bout of feeling a little sorry for myself, I went on the internet in the seach for some like minded people. My name's Jannie, I'm born in Denmark, but haven't really spent much time here the past six years. I guess I've got the travelling bug! My biggest passion in life is travelling and though I am currently pretty skint being a student and all that, I try to get out and about as much as possible. Have just returned back to Denmark after 7 months in India and malaysia and thereafter 5 months in the UK. I like Denmark, but am finding it hard to meet likeminded people here! Guess there aren't many of us around and the ones that are, are scattered around the country! I'm currently studying International social work on my last year and my dream is to move to Cambodia and start up a monkey sanctuary... though it hasn't got that much to do with social work. I love poi/fire spinning, meeting new people, playing and listening to music, reading a good book, being creative and having a laugh.. I can be pretty mad at times.. I live by some strange principles..eg. such as not wearing trousers for the past 6 years! Besides that I'm a buddhist and try to live as much as I can according to the buddhist ways! Please feel free to say hello! Peace!

you'll have to enlighten me re: buddhism in the philosophy forums. I've thought for a while that the further east you go from the West, the purer the philosophies are.
