:guitar: :drummer: all these releases were and are handpicked by the guys. I think they release like 10 more after the original 20. really can't be sure. but anyways, which ones of the first 20 are worth discussing? looking at the amazon listimania! lists, many folks ranked vol. 7 and vol. 11 as their number 1. Out of those two, I enjoyed vol. 11 (mcnichols arena, denver, 11-17-97) more. the tweezer is especially phresh. after "uncle ebenezer" around 4:30m the spacey 40 seconds of craziness aftewards is intense. then they go into one of the phunkiest 15 minute jams of all time. Fish is on fire for this jam! Trey's licks are out of this world too. pretty standard reba, train song. Listen for Trey and Page gettin together on Ghost Song. tight as hell! Excellent down with disease. Denver Jam is extremely exploratory. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent wolfman's bro on filler (campaign, IL, 11-19-97) what did you guys think? what other live phish would you recommend?
I'm still pretty new to Phish. I only own five studio albums, and just recently downloaded two live shows from nugs.net (10/29/94 and 12/31/95) and love them, but I'm wondering which ones I should get next, out of the free stash on that site. I'd love to buy the ones in the live series but I'm kind of broke right now...so if you have any suggestions on which ones I should download next, I'd really appreciate it. (the shows they made into the live phish series aren't on the site, so I can't base it on amazon reviews).
I just thought it would be cool to get other folk's analysis and favorite moments from the Live Phish Series. the live phish releases are worth every Penny because they are the guys' favorite performances as well. And livephish.com is also a great archive of phish shows. last time I checked you had to pay for most of the stuff at nugs.net. So definately save up and go buy some. all live phish has moments of universal harmony. Anyhoo, I haven't had success in finding a source loaded with free phish mp3s. Just bits and peices here and there through google. one great show I found a couple of weeks ago is the 7-13-1994 Patterson NY sbd. I can't remember the source. definately try and find that one! universal harmony. and i just dont bother anymore with momadance. I think you have to just search extensively for free Phish on the net. and just trade as much as you can. spread the music! by the way, does anyone know where to find info on which one of the guys picked certain shows? I found something a few days ago but I lost it! so.......let the discussion commence.......continue..........evolve? I don't know :gossip:
i don't know what number it is....but 11/27/98 is one of the most amazing shows ever. so tight, so jammy and the energy was so high! what a wonderful night! WIPE OUT!!!
oh yeah! vol.6: the infamous wipeout show! they do teases throughout the whole show. you guys were right about nugs.net. I think my computer is about to have diarrea. ingested way too much last night.
