I have been faced with a situation. Now more then ever have I been exposed to so many mushrooms around my town. I remember hearing that eating mushrooms cause your liver to suffer very tramatic failure. I recently had a 3 week spiritual journey eating an 8th every week. I am curious to know the fatal side effects of ingesting these things on a regular basis. I just want to know the long term effects of abusing this mystical drug.
I wouldn't worry so much about physical damage as mental. Tripping too often can fuck you up. I've been on 3 tripping binges (defined by me as more than twice per week) once on mushrooms for about a month, once on 5-MeO-AMT for about a month and once on LSD for about 6 months. Each time, I quit because I was starting to lose grasp on reality. Don't get me wrong, I learned a lot, but be careful. I'd suggest no more than twice per month.
Word^... Last summer I came upon an enormous sandwich bag full of fresh mushrooms, for 10 dollars. I ended up having fairly heavy visuals for the rest of the Summer, even though I ceased tripping after July 4th. Usually if you indulge too much, your trips will start to reflect that and you will definately know what is happening, giving you a chance to stop. Whereas other psychoactives can reinforce addiction, Hallucinogens actually deter the user from habitual use. I think I might've tripped 3 times in a week at one point, but the point was I was just tripping for no reason at random times, and was not treating them with respect. It seems like you were experimenting responsibly, though I would recommend you cut down to once a month. I know people who have tripped every weekend on the long term and they are sort of fried in the way ravers are who roll every weekend are, though not in the annoying or obvious way.
Thats some what reassuring. I don't really like to abuse psychedelic drugs. Its just so fun, but, I know that I shouldn't do it often, it defeats the purpose of life.
