i don'twhats up but lately all of my piercings are out of whack. now i've had my nose pierced for about 5 years and yesterday for the first time i got the stud changed to a hoop. ive never changed this piercing before.

the first hoop he put in was too big (right gauge and everything) but after seeing it i decided on a smaller one and bought both hoops. so he put in the smaller one and my nose was pretty sore that day even before i got them changed. after the second hoop was in i was happy and left even though my nose was throbbing since it went though so much. it was a little sore all day yesterday and today it felt better if i didnt move it around. now about 20 minutes ago i was doing laundry and a pair of jeans hit my nose ring and now its bleeding just a tiny bit.

what the hell is wrong now? is it just from going through so much trama yesterday? the guy had a hard time gettting my stud out since it was in so long

there's probably nothing wrong with the piercing...but stretching it, even if it was just a little bit, is going to do a bit of trauma...and considering it was hard to get it out in the first place, the piercing was probably already a little tight

if it started bleeding, i would probably treat it like a new piercing for a little while...even if it was just bleeding a little bit...just to be safe, you know

i hope that was good advice, but i don't have a nose piercing myself....yet..so somebody back me up please?

It sounds like just a pissed of piercing. The fistula(the tunnel through your skin) is delicate skin and easily sccratched. Its not uncommon for the piercing to get a little aggro for a while.

if it persists, it could be a metal allergy. I would try changing the ring out to gold or titanium or high quality surgical stainless steel. If you went to a reputable shop, they are probably already using SSS, so I would try just treating it with saline soaks for a while, first.
