I hate drug haters...

...especially the ones that smoke weed themselves.
Almost everybody I know (knew) now hates me for doing weed, even the bastards who do it themselves, because apparently I'm going to kill myself with it and I'm hurting everybody else with it. Apparently all the scientific studies, evidence, etc. is 'fake' and I'm a worthless junkie. Oh, except according to them they're 'not having a go at me.' It fucking well sounds like it.
I'd go on for a lot longer, but I don't want to rant too long...

Personally, I do not have a drug of choice, mostly due to inexperience, but I fully support those who do enjoy them. I have friends who are pretty much alcoholics and caffeine addicts that bitch about people who smoke pot. They say "all drugs" are stupid. When I gently remind them that alcohol and caffeine are drugs, they basically cover their ears and go "lalalala."

That said, I am usually pissed off by some of my friends who are irresponsible with drugs (ie: too much, dangerous drugs, etc) because it just seems ridiculously reckless and selfish to those around you. When people care about you, it hurts to see you destroy your life, no matter how much fun you appear to be having doing it...
Without knowing the entire story, those are my thoughts.

 

Thing is, I can't see how I'm ruining my life
I've become more ambitious, more involved in things, finally managed to get myself a job, after smoking weed. But no, I'm ruining my life...
And I can relate to the alcoholics bitching about pot... I just don't get people sometimes.

 

If someone didn't like something I was doing, I'd just tell them that its my life, and that I don't care about their oppinion.

And weed has definatly not fucked up my life. I failed last year and had to go to summer school. I started smoking weed, and my grades have gone up. I haven't failed a class this year.

 

Before I post a reply, how old are you, and do you, by chance go to a school run by a church?

Nobody likes drug haters, especially ones that don't know what they're talking about. But drugs are nice. They're not for everyone though. Only for those who use them with respect and a sense of responsibility. Drug haters can't seem to understand that. Too bad... but who cares though, eh?

Thats odd, I used to be in top classes with the most straight edge people in the school and now I smoke around twice or 3 times a week. I am very open about it and while still in those high classes, I maintain a mature attitude for the most part around them and they wouldn't suspect I smoke based on my appearance either. I am good friends with some straight edge people that rather die than try marijuwanna and they respect me just as I respect them

If they look down to you like you aren't even worth their time, a corrupt waste of space, then I say just do well in school and prove to them it doesn't interfere with your life, may even work as a motivator as you said, shove it back in their faces

 

go to a party and find some new friends who arent afraid to be themselves

People like that make me mad. Especially if they drink or cant live without a cup of coffee in the morning.

 

i have like ten to fifteen cups of tea a day. and i do think i depend on tea. not caffine cuz coffee wont cut it for me

 

It was a different story with me, when I came out and openly admitted I smoked pot in my school I became more popular, just maintain relationships and grades and they have no ammunition to use to dis on pot, an amazing plant IMO

 

i cant seem to meet anyone that smokes that doesnt seem to be a complete idiot. i know a few people who are chill. most though are just a bunch of stupid stoners, they depend on it. cant get away from this people.

 

I hate cannabis haters most. Zimmy, keep on tokin man, they're just feeding you all that government crap, you know the truth, you can feel it. Live your life for you and your preference to happiness, not anyone else's. Your a contributing member of society if you have a job. Cannabis is scientifically proven to be safer then alcohol or tobacco. If these people won't tolerate your beliefs and preferences concerning which 'drug' you like to take, then ignore them and do it anyway.

I feel ya dude. people tend to be close minded and judgmental simply because it's illegal. most people don't have a mind to think for themselves, or to think critically. so their logic is that it's illegal, therefore it must be bad.

sadly, the fact that it is illegal is probably a contributing factor to why it's a "gateway" drug. if it was legal, and people could buy it from shops and grow it themselves, they wouldn't have to go through seedy drug dealers who might get them on to other drugs as well. the cops have been busting down hard on farms in my country lately. the consequence? it is now far easier to get a hold of coke than weed. how fucked up is that? "sorry man, weed's too hard to get a hold of. sell ya some coke, tho."
