so all you need is... fungus, bout 1/2 an oz will cover 4-6 people but more or less is cool a cup of water per person tea strainer celestial seasonings mandarin orange spice tea honey 1 boil water 2 pour water over ground up shrooms and tea bags - seep 10 minutes 3 strain add honey and enjoy 4 boil another pot of water and repeat process with used shrooms and fresh tea bags i started feeling it before i finished my cup and the onset was great. don't think it will help the wooziness, though... nothing does.
Dont get me wrong, I've had some ill tea, but I would never hate on the chompin! Honey is where it's at though, with anything Namaste
lol, I've drinkin mushroom tea, had shroom burgers, hot dogs, tacos, burritos, pie, and even a mushroom sandwich. Teas cool, but I like eating with my mushrooms.
mushroom pizza is good. pb&j always works, too, or a mushroom smoothie. and i agree, honey is incredible
they dont even taste that bad, so i dont mind chompin.. but sometimes it seems like it came fresh from cow dung and i usually have water in my mouth as i chomp and swallow, like real small pills.
i virtually never eat the mushrooms. i almost ALWAYS make tea. your method isnt that different from mine, but historically i prefer a stronger dose....more like 5g (dried) per person (or about 50g if you JUST picked them and they're still fully wet...this is, of course, dealing with P. cubensis) i prefer tea because it tastes good, it adds more of an element of ceremony to the experience instead of trying to just choke down the mushrooms, and it does wonders for keeping me from getting too sick. when i've eaten mushrooms, i've ALWAYS vommitted profusely. i only throw up on very large doses in my tea or if i drink it too fast. i prefer a higher dose, but more diluted. i no longer have my teapot, it broke, but i had a nice little ceramic pot which evenly filled four small teacups. i also made use of empty teabags you can buy anywhere you can get loose leaf teas. my method: chop mushrooms, fresh or dry, as finely as possible. stuff them in the empty teabags, roll the flap down and staple shut. for one teapot, use two to three strongly flavored herbal or black teas...i prefer earl grey or constant comment for this. pour in enough honey to just cover the bottom of the teapot. heat distilled or at least purified water on a stove until it begins to bubble, just BEFORE boiling. DO NOT BOIL IT! fill the teapot with water, stir until the honey is dissolved. add lemon if desired. let steep 20 minutes before consuming. sip a pot slowly, over fifteen minutes to half an hour or so. repeat process with the used mushrooms and fresh tea. as i understand it, there are two major factors causing sickness at the beginning of the trip (unless you take spiritual explanations into account). the first, and most common is that the mushrooms in question are not easily digested by the GI tract, and its more the fungal body than the drug itself that can upset your stomach in many cases. this is the case for me - no matter how slowly i eat them, if i eat them i puke my guts out early in the trip and have gross mushroom burps the rest of the trip. the other major reason you can get sick is from having a large dose hit your system all at once. mushroom tea comes on MUCH faster than eating the fungus. in my experience, if you drink a full dose quickly, its about 10 minutes till blastoff. the reason is that the magic is now in a potion, a liquid solution, and is VERY easily accessed by your body. you don't make you body work hard to break down the mushrooms to get the psilocin and psilcybin in them..... this is why i make a point of making the tea a little more diluted...a several dose split into several small cups i can sip for a few minutes, you know? it works pretty well for me, and if i make tea and take it leisurely while meditating, i very rarely get sick
its worth noting that high temperature is detrimental to the sacrament. can destroy the psilocin and psilocybin, at least partially. cooking with mushrooms is a very bad idea. this is why i very strongly urge you to simply use hot water, not boiling. you dont want it that hot, or it can potentially decrease strength. using my method i have never noticed significant decrease in strength, and i had lots of free mushrooms of the same potency as, at a certain point in my life, i used to grow my own.
I want to try make shroom tea...sounds interesting...half an hour ago i just dropped my shrooms in a pie and ate it...i didn't get that awful taste, was pretty good...now i'm starting to feel it work It's way into my mind...fantastic
oo i do love hummus, and the garlic and garbanzos are guaranteed to overpower all other flavors, although this is not always a good thing.
