I firged, this being in a drug synthesis forum, I could find some people who know what they're talking about when it comes to gram scales. This is what I know, or have heard:: - Accurate gram scales are hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. - Many gram scales, espeically cheap ones are very inaccurate, even to the point of being wrong completely. Now all I really need is one that will be acurate to something like 0.05 of a gram, preferably 0.01. Any help would be totally awesome
eBay has scales that are very readable and precise (ie. show same numbers everytime), but not super accurate (they don't show the right ones) for extremely cheap. However, if you buy a $30-$50 scale on eBay that is accurate to .001g, it will probably be perfectly accurate when measuring out .05g If the scale is precise but not accurate you can always just get some calibration weights to tell you what the scales readings actually mean, and memorize them (or write them down). However, if I were you I'd look into analogue scales. Lucky11 would be perfect for you. http://www.myweigh.com/pocketscales_Lucky11.html I hope you really do mean .05g. Remember 1 mg = .001 g = 1/1000 g. Not too many RCs can be accurately measured in 10-50mg increments
Yeah 50mg's is fine. If it's at least that accurate I can deal with it, although I would defiantly prefer a 1mg accuracy. *looks* Hmm, it does look pretty decent. What are the advantages of an analog over a digital? More precision for cheaper? Wait a sec, are those like the scales at the doctors offices? With the sliding the weight until it balances perfectly? Wouldn't that be arduous everytime you wanted to weigh something. If they're more precise, then I could deal with that. The price kinda worries me though.
I just bought a Lucky 11 a couple weeks ago. It's kind of a piece of crap, I have to say, but once you learn how to use it, it is pretty accurate. The good thing about it it that it's very inexpensive and accurate enough for most people's needs.
A good gram scale is like $25 to $40. Most cocaine dealers who deal in Weight use tripple Beam scales or Postal scales to weigh out a there coke !!! most of the Postal scales will go down to .01 of a gram.
So I'm bumping this thread to ask some more questions. I need a .001 gram scale so I can measure out RC's. That's accurate to 1mg, right? uplink said that scales like that on ebay run from 30-50 bucks and can be reliable. I was thinking about this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/0-001g-Pocket-D...ryZ34088QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Or something like it. I just wanted some people's input before I made a decision.
i didn't read all the post but you can get a blance like the symbol for cout and get a super good weight set, but tbh i'm not sure they have weghts down to 1mg. so the other thought is the grid method. Weght out .05g then cut it in half then half agian. Not the best way, however cheap.
How about this 'liquid measurement method'. I'm not sure what it isw exactly but I did come up with a measurement scheme involving liquid, which could very well be the same thing. So say I had 100mg's of some RC. Could I dissolve the 100mg's in 100ml's of liquid (whatever it was highly soluble in), and safely say that 1ml = 1mg? I thought it was a stroke of genius, even if it seems simple =P. I'm not sure what could measure in 1ml increments aside from maybe lab equipment which is usually damn expensive. Is 1cc in a syringe equal to 1ml? I've read around on various websites that they're equal.
The standard Deering scale that alot of peeps use for coke etc is accurate to 1/20th a gram and is only 20 bucks or so.... I have used it repeatedly for RC's... Hell, how hard is it to get your stash down to 50mg and then use the grid or liquid measuring method, to further get down to 5-10mg???... For most RC's, 2-5mg difference won't be all that noticeable.... Yeah, there are exceptions!!! When dealing with those RC's wherein a mg or 2 make a difference, either throw in the towel and spend $400-500 for an Acculab or get really good at eyeballing and liquid measurements...............SQUID
i was thinking about getting one of these.. so if you use the small weight can you measure in mg? i'd be using to weight under 50mg mostly.
Ohaus just cmae out with a new model, especially made to weigh crack cocaine. It's called the gram cracker.
