well...I would just like to say, that this country wasn't 'founded' on Christianity at all. There were people already here and these 'Christians' kinda killed them off or made them move to random reservations against their will... :(

    very kind from your side.

what you want is not relevant in a public forum.

it's a singular mix of reasonable points of view and straight intolerance springing out of your self convinction to Hold The Truth In Your Hands. You also seem to believe that we must believe in some form of god. How came that you grew up to be so arrogant ?

This post took a turn for the worst; we were actually talking about something important and you guy's focused on the content not the message.

no man, you're wrong (so much for no argument :p).

A decent amount of our forefathers (including Thomas Jefferson 0_o) weren't Christian. Thomas Jefferson himself was a deist.

Oh, the word "god", that has become so visible in our pledge and on our money, was actually put in during the 1950's by the Eisenhower Administration to separate the United States from those godless atheist commys. Same with in "God we Trust" on our money.

    Nice try?

We're not talking about unchangeable laws of nature. It's all about man-made institutions. (sorry, no place for god in my thoughts) And since they are things made up by men, men can change it as they like. Inventing forms of marriage for gay people. Collective marriages where many men marry many women forming a new form of collective family. whatever you want. free yourself from the boundaries that someone put around your mind. if then you still prefer the christian marriage, man to woman, god in the middle, a priest before you , no divorce etc well, enjoy it and be happy. of course I can be wrong in every single thing i've just said but it's a free speech forum and even those who are wrong are entitled to reply. so if someone feels offended well it's just its own problem.

    PAUL REVERE.....

Because he was immortalized after his death for his role as a messenger in the battles of Lexington and Concord, Revere's name and his "midnight ride" are well-known in the United States as a patriotic symbol. In his lifetime, Revere was a prosperous and prominent Boston craftsman, who helped organize an intelligence and alarm system to keep watch on the British military

Here was a true hippie young lady...........Now that your finally conscience what are you going to do to improve the world.....

And there not gona let them catch the midnight rider..........

    wow, what a thread

i grew up in a hippy lifestlye, my parents had me young and started off as young mods and became hippies as are my dads brother. when i was younger i didn't like being different i had no tv, hippy clothes, pink floyd etc
My mum now remarried has an organic farm and still is an earth momma, she doesn't dress like one anymore My uncle still thinks it is 1966, just with alot
more technology Most of my family members have environment at the top of the list. my mum has supported "ferals' in the forrest when they were protesting about cutting trees down.

i don't look like a hippy, but i do have some hippy values. to me this makes me take notice of the world around me, look out for other people i am a little different sometimes in the way i think. i am not religious, but i think i have christian values, in that i care for my fellow man

as for marriage, my hippy uncle and lady have live toghether for 30 years
no need for marriage, they love each other
often people get married for legal reasons or they want to celebrate their
love in front of friends and family if gay people want to marry and have the same legal rights, why not will it ever impinge on me, prpbably not i live in a gay neighbourhood, there are alny a few straight people in the street

i am qualified to work with people who are unable to confirm in todays society
but have chosen to follow my passion as my life due to health is coming to a halt

as for all the bad stuff, rape, murder, domestic volience, drugs war. this will always be in the world alot has to do with economocs and politics. And hey, if there is people in the world trying to make it better through volunteer
work, trying other lifestlyes. again it is not impinging on others as for talk of suicide, i certainly haven't seen that, sex talk will always be around alot of it is spam, some of it is just fun and public forums are just that public
as for the drug forums, there is alot of info relalted to reducing harm

Alot of so called hippies don't just sit on there arses, my uncle just retired from a huge job, paid taxes

i may just ben seen as raving, but i am not ashamed of anything i do i am upfront about my drug use, open with my family on any issue, many of my extended family are religious and come from ethnic backgrounds and they
may not always undertand me,but they are open

what i am ashamed of is the stigma i receive because i am mentally ill even though i take responsibility for it by doing things people would find difficult
i don't look any different, in fact some say i am pretty
then i receive stigma because i am physically ill, again i don't look different
but the stigma never goes away
this means that people won't learn and just like so many people, i have alot to offer but so many people just close themselves off and that hurts

i may have gone off topic, but i have stated what i believe in and think of being ashamed

btw, i have a history degree and have studied many religions

one other thing after re reading the thread, the world is so much bigger than america have you travelled because you seem to have a narrow view and be unwilling to see beyond

    Thank you esruos. :)

And Ava you're right in saying that hippies don't sit on their asses. I never said that. If I did, please punch me in the face. Adaption is inevitable. It's part of life. And the world is bigger, and yes I have traveled.

Watch Requim For A Dream. There's a good idea of how fucked up the world is, what goes unseen. I saw a onsie today... made for babies..
"So you're for abortion, but against killing terrorist?"

Remember when life started going down the drain, and everyone said "big deal it's the freaking 90's." Yeah it really got us somewhere. People aren't into solving the problem and sticking up for what's right.
They're up for following the media's fashion of politics and screwed up demeanor. Which the media is ran by three fucking people. What does that really say?

It's kind of like how San Fransisco, people wanted free sex changes.
    http://www.brentmorrison.com/0102Sex_change.htm

SO for those paying for the taxes, has to pay for someones dick to be removed. Even if they're highly fuckin against it, it doesn't matter. You're paying for it.

:) Thank you to all of my supporters..

    And slybond, what?
    What are you talking about?
"The Davenport Joint Committee on Taxation holds that "national banks "should be taxed according to their "ability upon their net profits, as "certain other kinds of business are "already being taxed in this State.""
    -NY Times

Most people have little to no understandment of what that means. Federal should imply that "The Federal Reserve" is a governament instituation issued to support the people and the constitution. It is not.
The Federal Reserve is a PRIVATELY owned central bank, given the right through the Federal Reserve Act to print and control the US currency, the dollar. Owned, and run, by the most prominent and riches international banking familys of the world.
What this means, is that instead of the governament issuing money themselves (such as the extremelly successful "Greenbacks" during the hero, Abraham Lincolns time), The Federal Reserves first issues the money to the governament, WITH INTEREST. Meaning every dollar in circulation has a debt associated with it, that the governament owes The Federal Reserve. Since the governament owes "The Fed" the interest, more money is constantly loaned and the debt grows exponentially. This is an absurd system that has since insertion simply been kept out of media light (don't believe me? Do some research. Take Fox News for example. Fox News is owned by "News Corporation". Who owns "News Corporation"? The Rockerfellers, again, one of the leaders of the Federal Reserve and one of the richest families in the world, effectivly securing their business through media) while the average american gets in over their heads in debt.

are tax money dosnt go torwards highways, schools, etc.. it goes back to the federal reserve to pay back the dept.

i honestly hate when people say that just because i'm 17, i'm not a true "hippe". hey, ever hear of the words "The 60's may have ended, but the hippies haven't"? a hippie is a PERSON, no matter what year it is. i am a true blue honest to God hippie and if you tell me otherwise, you're wrong.

i hate that people laugh at me and mock me when i ask them to please not litter or to recycle.

i hate that people think i'm a liar for saying i'm bi. homosexuality is a natural thing and people just need to GET THE FUCK OVER IT. don't fight it, just accept that it exists.
