you all have it wrong... Lack of oxygen to the cells means they have nothing to live off of, so they die. Smoking anything kills brain cells.

It takes over 5 minutes for the cells to die with lack of oxygen... if that was the case every time you go swimming you are killing brain cells...

the tiny bit of braincell damage can come from carbom monoxide that comes from burning organic things. however canabis also protects brain cell damage, according to sources, so it could protect partly against itself

It doesn't. You have natural cannabinoids in your brain called endocannabinoids. When you smoke weed the cannabinoids in the THC attach to the endo ones in your brain but doesn't kill any cells.

The only thing i've heard about this is that cannabis kill gliomi cells which are potentially cancer causing. The point has been made and I will repeat it for emphasis:

    'Cannabis kills brain cells'

Reply: So do alcohol and tobacco which kill hundreds of thousands of people a year and are legal. It's all a capitalist, inequal hypocracy. We are all born free, why does this government offical who is equal to you, is human, why should anyone have the right to dictate over you with their 'power' Whether they possess more material goods, have more capital and properties, they will all die, just like I.

All those seconds you've gone with out breathing is depleating the brain of its oxygen supply and that is whats killing them but not at an alarming rate.. just eat fish

Everyone can say what they want about how holding your breathe kills brain cells as well; but it still must be mentioned that short term memory loss and inability to learn as well on pot can really get to you if you smoke a lot

If you smoke at least 2 times a week you will notice this and you can't deny it
In math I have trouble focusing and retaining split second short term memory
Basically connecting the dots with math, knowing sequences of steps in finding the answer is a bitch while high

I think its more of a matter of how people use the fact that they are high as an excuse why they can pass on a homework or watch tv for an extra hour or two

The lazyness gets to you but apart from that, I find weed as a motivator in all cases except math lol

hmm i never was good at math to begin with, but i did learn a few things while i was completely baked. like Macramé. i find weed as a motivator aswell, i can get so absorbed/focused into what im doing. some studies show that brain cells may re-generate under certain circumstances... in the hippocampus, which is involved in learning and memory. also that new cell growth is most likely substantially greater in younger, healthy adults.

oh yeah, and those tests were on 50 to 70 year olds... so u could lose/damage some cells in accident etc..., but they can come back... and i just found this video u should check out:

    http://www.sethgroup.org/videos.html

the THC kills all cancer cells but leaves normal brain cells alive...

I have thoroughly enjoyed killing many many brain cells, myself. The less brain cells the better...

Remember the old saying, "The less they think I know the better." ??
