hahaha Im sorry for revealing your secret. I'm kinda distracted this morning and things slip my mind
It's okay, I always get mistaken for a him... I'm pretty use to it by now, so no worries... I think it's the facial hair that always fools people...
I was sitting downtown the other day with a friend, riding the cancer train on a bench, when a kid, four or five, with a towel tied around his neck like a cape, ran by us with his mother trying to keep up and screamed, "I'm a great American hero!" Then he nearly ran into traffic. I'm voting for him this November.
There's nothing better than waking up and thinking 'O fuck I have to go to school/work in 20 mins...' and then realising that it's the weekend But if it's the other way around... damn!
I got so much shit done today, it's unbeleivable.. I'm so proud of myself.. I guess this morning was a good sign
that is so amazing and beautiful, and i love it the creeper thing wouldn't cross my mind...but on the other hand i'm the type of person to knock on someones door and wake them up to see the sunrise on the roof...
He obviously doesn't know you very well, because if I were to wake you up at 5AM to ask you to go watch the sunrise, I'd fully expect a punch in the face.
see I don't think it's creepy AT ALL to wake someone up to go watch to sunrise on the roof.. I'd do it.. it's just that.. if creepy at all.. or just.. weird.. we never talked before and that was our first contact - way to make the first step haha!
Random magical moments, there are so many of them. I will just name one here that pops into my mind at this time. Me and a friend hiking in Tibet, being completely lost in the vast wilderness of the barren, mountainous landscape. Lightly packed, but it felt like we were carrying twice our bodyweight. Finally we reached the top of one of the mountains, at about 5000 meter height. Hard to breath, getting a bit dark and cold already and absolutely no sign of any town, village or people whatsoever. Need to stock up on food and water and a place to sleep. We brought our tents, but it was too rocky to put it up anywhere. What to do? Keep on walking? Crash down here on the rocky ground and hope the cold will not get us? How about we rest, empty our minds and enjoy the night falling in? Suddenly.... a whistle? Chattering and laughing. Out of nowhere, it seems, someone is yelling at us and we see forms appear in the distance. They comes closer and we can see them wave and later we can see them smile. Two Tibetan guys and their herd of sheep. They wave to us and make clear we have to follow them. So we follow them down the mountain, take some turns and suddenly there it appears out of nowhere - a gigantic hidden monastery! A place to sleep, refill our water and get some food! The monks, although tey did not speak one word of English or any other language, where the nicest guys we ever met. They were so hospitable and I couldn't feel more welcome anywhere. I had a little Tibetan phrasebook and one of the monks could read. So we communicated by using our hands, feet, body language and the little phrasebook. Lucky it was written in both English and Tibetan, so we could point at something and they could answer and vice versa. Ofcourse we were the center of attention in that remote monastery, not many foreigners have been to those parts. We were their guest and we were treated as such. They showed us around this huge monastery. It was breathtakingly beautiful and such a magical experience. We slept in a beautiful room, covered with all kinds of Buddhist arts and other sacred stuff. Staying there was like a dream within a dream. At moments like that you feel that life is grand, it is bigger than we can ever imagine. It makes you feel that you are part of something. You are so big, yet so small. You exist and you don't. You just are.
