His appeal is that he's black and we're bored. That's it.

He doesn't have one iota of realpolitik behind him. He doesn't know how to play the Washington machine in his favor. He's about to make permanent enemies with the most powerful of families and he knows it (and he's always known it): the Clinton mafioso dynasty.

We are, essentially, electing a total and complete noob. We are basically picking the fat kid first for the dodgeball team and everyone is okay with this. I don't care. Americans are traditionally emotional and reactive at these things so let them shoot themselves in the foot.

    will do.

(as a sidenote, i'm sure he won't have any advisors who know how to play the Washington machine or anything...)

also, the fat kid analogy is really stupid. in what way does that make any sense?

Carter had plenty of advisors, plenty of support from the people, and still failed at utilizing the Washington machine to get any one of his plans done.

Don't forget his capacity for the audacity of hoping for changing the dreams of his father!

    lol!

but yeah, there's nothing there that makes me understand why people faint after touching his majestic robe.

Um, he's being advised by Zbigniew Brzezinski and is being funded by some of the biggest banks, as well as the Rockefellers. So you can't say he won't have any advisors who "play the Washington machine", because he already does.

I sympathize with the general tenor of your post, but you're wrong. He will be like all the rest, or worse since he seems more filled with bullshit than most. He will join the gang. The answer is: Abolish Government. By the way do you really give a shit what color he is? They are all Green with greed and envy.

Don't bring that up damnit. I want to wallow in my delusion of change..

Ron Paul was the only canidate bringing about change, but people don't want that.. they want tinkering.

It's absolutely meaningless that Obama has no "realpolitik" behind him. It's the people BEHIND HIM you should be looking at, like Zbigniew Brzezinski and David Rockefeller. These are the REAL deciders. Presidents are mere minions. They are frontmen who serve only for the public to believe in. What qualifications does the current president have? Almost none. But that doesn't matter because Bush as a say in NOTHING. He does what he's told, and this will be the same case if Obama takes office.

No, I never said that. But placing all the blame on Bush is to not see the big picture. Bush is simply taking orders from the people who will remain in power long after Bush is out of office.

And Bush didn't really "run" anything. It was all given to him by his father through the connections he had with families such as the bin Ladens.

I'm almost sure bush has run just about every company he's been the head of into bankruptcy, but I'm uninformed and too lazy to look.

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."

    David Rockefeller

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."

    David Rockefeller... Baden-Baden, Germany 1991

which is it? is bush terrible and responsible for every problem in the past 8 years, or is he simply a puppet?

being president does give you power, although its limited and must go through certain channels.

i havent made my mind up for who to vote for. it looks like its going to be obama vs mccain.. both good choices from what ive seen so far

i need to find out thier positions on ending the iraq war, which has stretched on much too long.

Yeah, he was Carter's national security advisor and is now advising Obama.

People really need to look into this guy's background before they buy into all the BS about Obama and "change."
