Hello. First of all, im a 17 year old guy, and this is the first time i am going to pierce my ear. The problem is that, when i pierce my left ear, i believe that it is prohibited for a guy to pierce his ear in my school. If i am going to wear the earing 24 hrs. for 6 weeks, i think i can't do that, since i must remove the earring in school hours. So, any suggestions for my problem?

do it anyway they might not even notice who cares if they do then just take it out and wait until you don't go there anymore.

Just your ear lobe? I honestly don't think it's a horrible idea to pierce it yourself and if you're so adamant on piercing it then nobody's going to talk you out of it. Who am I to talk you out of it if I am considering attempting to pierce my upper ear myself or by a friend, anyways. So here's what I have to say..

A friend of mine pierced my ear herself with a safety pin. I can honestly say that for me it was not only relatively painless (though, I'll admit, I had a few drinks in me) but it healed rather beautifully as well. I think they healed slightly better than the other two lobe piercings I got at Claire's.. although I could be biased because I dug up so much dirt on piercing guns.

Ear lobes seem to be relatively resiliant for most people and you know the potential consequences. I don't really think it'll be a problem. As for getting in trouble... maybe you could put in some kind of retainer for the piercing? I'm not sure if these exist for the average 18g lobe piercings or not but that's the best I can think of. Or maybe a simple earring will be enough to go unnoticed. Just a gold stud or something. It seems like a rather ridiculous rule, though. It takes about 6-8 weeks to heal.

Can i wear a very small earring? that would be impossible for anyone to notice.

They do make "invisible" earrings, but they are just regular earrings with a flesh colored stud. They will make the piercing less noticeable, but not nearly invisible.

My recommendation is to either put a bandaid on your ear until its fully healed and you can leave it out for the day or wait until summer. I used to tape up my ears every day because I didn't want them to get snagged playing basketball. If a teacher asks, just tell them that you went to the doctor and got a mole cut off.

Also, please go to a body piercing shop rather than some place that uses a gun. The piercing will heal much better. You can self-pierce, and it usually works. However, its not as safe as a reputable body piercing shop.

    Cheers

There is no invisible option, no matter how hard you try.

If your school is adamantly against it, its either school or the piercing. Or do it then lose it.
