apparently there are videos of soldiers throwing granades into pens full of sheep and torturing dogs and blowing up kittens and cats and killing people in front of their children . the americans officially said that they can torture children in front of their parents

oh, FUCK. my brother in law is just getting back from iraq, he's stationed in kaneohe. he's a sweetheart, though. great with kids and animals. my babies (furry and not) adored him. i can't see him putting up with that shit. and if he did, my baby sis would beat the living shit outta him. we're animal lovers. but you never know what's going through people's heads when they've been stuck out there for too long.
and a huge whatever on he assumption that all us soldiers and such are just baby murderers. get a new song.
I can't see how being in that kind of situation wouldn't bring out a certain brutality of thought and behaviour. It's an age old story, in any war, with soldiers from any country, there will be atrocities, torture, rape. Puppy killing is the absolute least of it. Being in a situation in which moral codes are suspended and the abhorrent becomes normal is bound to bring out the darkest kinds of behaviour in many.
Its not a shock or a surprise. Ive seen other videos of them throwing things at a poor 3 legged dog among others. If someone has enough disregard for life to unnecessarily kill or seriously injure a human being then other animals are going to get it too. Sometimes it works the other way around and they work their way up. These things come as a package, if youre a killer youre a killer. Some crazy fucked up power thing or something, i dont know, cant begin to understand

my cousin ended up serving three tours. yeah, it changed him, badly. he set out one night on a spree of deliberate recklessness before they sent him back for a fourth. he got his way and died. but that didn't change his inherent goodness. he just had too many nightmares and losses and anger. this stupid fucking war.
yeah. it's still pretty fucking harsh to deal with. i loved him very much, faults and all. the anger and impotence he had to deal with is unspeakable. but these guys, dupes that they were, don't necessarily need to be abused when they return. that isn't goin to make it any better. it isn't going to make society any better, either.

These days, anything is funny on youtube. From the guy who bit the head off a mouse to the cat who was soddomised. I used youtube, but only to watch Dogtanian closing credits and the original Carebears which had a voice modification, so they spoke adult words on an Eminem scale. All animal cruelty should be removed from youtube. The law should get tougher on these crimes. It should be the same as human killing. Each offender should be locked up for life. Or publically hung, as recent polls suggest the public want.
