I have ~100grams of root bark I powdered a couple months back that I'd not used.
Does the rootbark lose potency? It's in a ziplock bag in the dark now. I forgot all about it. Is there a known expiration of its effectiveness?
It'll probably be used for DMT extraction.

I definitely wouldn't worry about a couple months. I have heard people warn about this with powder, but not anyone that actually experienced loss. The fact that you have to boil it in vinegar to initially extract if from the plant seems to indicate that it's not that fragile and will likely last a while.

But...I'm not sure about years. I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has ever tried extracting from some powder or un-powdered mhrb that was years old. I'm guessing that it would work though.

The spirit most definitely says goodbye to the plant material after a year or 2.
Leave it in a cool, dark area
and it will keep for months.
I don't know about the powdered stuff,
but the whole MHRB keeps good for a while.

    It's just what I've heard.
I've never kept mimosa for that long,
but I know some that have and they said it greatly loses potency.

Mimosa makes for a great purple/pink dye!

I had stored powdered mimosa for more then 2 years with no loss of potence whatsoever. It must be very stable.

i dunno man, i was a chef for a number of years and anything ground and dried like spices will definitely lose flavor over time. cant say for sure with MHRB though.. i was wondering about this, because the powdered mimosa saves an extra step.. however i decided to go with whole bark, because it allows me to see what im getting and i just feel better grinding it fresh
