So I found out that coca is available in the States. http://www.cocatea.com/ Does it contain trace amounts of cocaine, or is the cocaine removed through some process? If not, which company is best to go with? I've seen it on amazon.com as well.
So far its Mexico, Central and South America only. The effects from drinking the bottled tea are much the same as chewing the coca leaves: slight increase in energy and perhaps a mild euphoric feeling. That's about all I experienced in the Andes, but that's about all was required.
Quite an interesting site I found on coca -- http://www.henriettesherbal.com/eclectic/bpc1911/erythroxylon.html Apparently the raw leaves contain roughly .1% cocaine each. On the website above (cocatea.com), they say they ship to the US and Canada as well.. there are reviews from Americans there. -- I've been reading about this de-cocainized coca leaf (which is what used to be used in Coca Cola, btw). I've also read a few reports by people who consume coca leaves/products in the States and failed drug tests (cocaine showed up). That seems a bit extreme, tho, since cocaine itself doesn't stay in the body very long...seems a bit like failing a drug test due to opium poppy consumption. I'm sure even washed seeds would have enough opium on them to show up on a drug test, if it's very sensitive. To actually get high off the seeds, you need hundreds of them...I tried the simple soaking process myself and used approx 550 poppy seeds in about a cup of water w/lemon. It worked, but definitely wasn't worth the cost of all the materials...and with coca leaves, I hear it takes quite a bit more than that to produce cocaine. Thoughts?
well, all of the coca leaf I've found is, in fact, unadulterated. it's prohibited (tho not technically illegal) to buy coca leaves, but is apparently rarely inspected at customs and usually makes it to the customer, according to my research.
there is a very good site in Peru where you can sell coca leaves and a delicious coca liquer. Great stuff!!!
