divided potency for stored extraction liquid

    Swim is curious if after an IPA extraction of mescaline from san pedro, if the alcohol is stored for awhile in a large container before drying, would the mescaline sink to the bottom of the container to create a divided potency of the collected and stored fluid.

    A friend did this and reported that fluid scooped from the top of the bucket and dried was dry and very crystally or shiny and flaky when scraped up. Fluid poured out from the bottom was more tarry and sticky and faintly oozy. Some of the dried powder made it into the storage container but obviously sunk to the bottom. I say the mescaline molecule would have remained in solution evenly distributed, but then what is causing the difference in consistency?

    Doses from the top were moderate trips when they should have been strong. Doses from bottom not tested yet (as far as swim has heard), but in the past, sticky tarry doses were strong, dry flaky glittery doses havent been the norm...any thoughts from chemists? thank you.
