Painkiller Rip-off merchants!

Hello to you all, peace love and harmony, but something just got my blood boiling a bit.

Have you ever been to the United Kingdom? Do you live in the US?

If so how's this grab you, a few days back I went round to a friends to help him strip wallpaper, anyway, he married an american girl and she's moved over here to the UK to live with him and whilst round his house I complained of a headache, so I asked him "got any paracetamol?" next thing I know his wife handed me a Bottle (a beer sized bottle!) of Acetaminophen aka: Tylenol 500mg each!

I was stunned, in the United Kingdom if you buy a packet of Painkillers you get a tiny little packet of about 8 for about £5.99 which in the US would be the equivelant of $6 to 7 bucks.

The first thing I noticed was the differance in strength, in the UK you get approx 50 to 100mg in each tablet and they are no where near as effective as two of these little babies at 500mg each. Acetaminophen for those outside the US is the pharmacuitical name for Paracetamol yes they are one and the same.

If you want Codine Based painkillers like these hell, if you buy them in the states they dont sell you a tiny packet, they sell you a huge JAR. Not to mention in the UK codine based painkillers like co-dydramol are regulated you need a prescription to buy them!!!

Anyone going on holiday I would advocate getting straight into a pharmacy and seeing just what the hell they can sell you over there straight over the counter that they sure as hell don't do over here.

I was stunned beyond words, not only are they stronger but in the Warning labels over here they make no mention of the fact you can suffer liver failure if you consume paracetamol with alcohol, which was all over the american brand and over here in the UK they tell you not to exceed the 50mg or 100mg mark as it could be dangerous! What rubbish! Pure greed on behalf of the drug companies here in the UK. (Their letting people suffer needlessly!).

Examine a packet of Lemsip, you'll soon see my point, yes a packet of lemsip here in the UK contains 1000mg of paracetamol, know why, its a fever reducer, which is what its also marketed as on the US brand. (and how meny packets do you get in a box five or six? Bleh!) and I am entitled to disbelieve their packaging completely now...

But again no mention of watching your liver and not drinking a beer!

Oh and she gave me a huge handfull to take home, which i've now transfered to a child proof medicine bottle, I cant wait to go on holiday and buy myself two or three JAR's of Tylenol-3 which contain codine sulphate in about the same high dosage. Pain, what pain, LMAO, the only pain I feel is the sting of having to pay a fortune for a damn asprin!

Pain-killers kill so always read the label, but I would advocate reading some labels a lot damn harder than others!

Did you know for instance you can get cough drops that are composed entirelly of pure DMT in minor dosages, if its mixed with other chemicals then dont exceed the dose, but if you read between the lines carefully on some products and understand whats in them, but you could dose up with huge amounts of cough drops in some cases and have a really good time.

 

You need a perscription to buy practically anything codine-based in the U.S.

That includes Tylenol-3.

We have codine based painkillers over the counter here in the UK but its the cost, their ripping us all off.

Demerol is a bad one way trip to hell, your better off sticking to illegal illicit drugs like LSD or Shrooms. DMT in cough drops at 100mg a drop, hehehehe, I'd be dropping the whole bottle, dont care if it contain's phenylanaline, so I'll be shitting through the eye of a needle a lot but I'll be high and happy LMAO

 

Why don't you avoid painkillers to begin with?

There are plenty of natural ways for curing a headache.

 

I tend to avoid them, it was a hang-over and no hair of the dog

 

But still 50 to 100mg is no where near as effective as 1000mg maximum dosage and its outrageous they dont tell you what it could do to your liver if you swallow it with a beer.

 

I do hope that most people know that you shouldn't mix it with booze.

If they don't... then that's just natural selection for ya

Over dosing on something your unsure off is stupid in the first place, but I hate being lied to and told if you take more than 100mg of paracetamol it might kill you when no such thing will take place, if you exceed 1000mg then yes you might actually die, but they should tell people the truth and not hide behind their warning label.

 

I searched on google for how to manufacture crystal meth and lo and behold it actually poped up on a search engine.. LMFAO, I dont believe what people post on the internet sometimes I really dont, I mean jesus, how to make ICE. The instructions are out their, I noticed the guy that posted it didn't mention the fact you might kill yourself in the process from the deadly gases given off by the cooking process, but it was an interesting read none the less.
