I know what you're probably thinking, but no, it has nothing to do with cops. I had a hysterical, and thoroughly sober experience on Wednesday, that until just now I had completely forgotten about. We went grocery shopping, (hubby, baby and me) after about 4 weeks of severely limited food selection. One of those "mac & cheese and hot dogs" months. Egg noodles with butter, the works. Anyway, I was not about to go another week without meat,and King soopers had several meat products on sale. They had Kroger brand turkey bacon 2 for like $4, but the shelf was empty. I found it odd, because their sales start on wednesday, how could they be out? Hubby asked a meat department employee, and he said he would go look in the back. when he comes back out, hes carrying a box with the turkey bacon on top. so, duh, I follow him. After all, he had my bacon! An older lady was also following him. Hurrying, trying to get in front of me. She didn't even want what I wanted, and here I was, like in some bad movie, racing an old lady in the grocery store. I was dumbfounded by the absurdity of it. On top of that, you've got the employee, who is about to be mowed down by an old lady with a carpet bag, who absolutely has to get him to open the box before her adversary gets the bacon. So here I am, wondering why that woman felt she had to get there first. PS. We also bought a small bison roast. I cooked it like a pot roast, and it was incredibly delicious. Yay for 50% off!
nope, I Just had no clue, it was like she thought I was going to run off with a whole box of stuff I didn't want. It was crazy.
lol some people are weird. At least you got your turkey bacon! I would have been afraid she was trying to steal it on you.
mmm turkey bacon. maybe if I'm concious tomorrow morning I will make some. its so good. its not real bacon, but you don't have to wear long sleeves when you cook it. a bit of wisdom from my mom: "No man is worth cooking bacon naked."
