could be worse... i once delivered $500 dollars worth of pizza 2 miles outside of the delivery area, didn't get a penny... (at least i was making more than minimum wage at the time, now drivers make less than it and people still stiff them)
Its nice to be a regular The employees know you and know that you will drop a few dollars at the end of the meal. They don't feel put upon getting a glass of water. The owner appreciates that we take care of his people and comes by to say hello.
I adore my regulars. They are wonderful people. Except for the slightly creepy ones, but otherwise, adore.
we have a regular who is from texas, and he proceeds to act like a jerk to all the servers, demanding upstanding service (which he gets) but he puts down at least a dozen miller lites in one setting and then gets even more rude as time persists.... he often cusses at the servers/bartenders and generally acts rude towards them, I dont know how he got to be there so long..... he is just a regular who gets special treatment, but he insists on acting like a douchebag often
I'd love to see Bronson get into an argument with Belushi, the owner of the old New York Chizburger restaurant. chizburger chizburger chizburger... cheep, cheep, cheep.... Pepsi, Pepsi, Pepsi.... .
yesterday morning, I felt like I was in the cheezeburger restaurant, thats all I had on my grill before the game...... all burgers!
I would have kicked you out. Not because you're an ungrateful asshole, but because you hate the French and order their toast and then call it Freedom. That's just stupid.
Here it's been oft called Texas toast before hating the french was cool. Although actually Texas Toast refers to another kind of toast. Texans just like to name things after pretentiously. The Rio Grande is tiny!
its not so hard to say something like "could i get some syrup (please)?" wouldnt have gotten kicked out for that either. but your asshattery gotcha booted and now youre whining about it on the internet. so sad.
I thought texas toast was named after the huge thick slices of bread, not the soaked in eggs and milk mixture and fried in a skillet style of toast...
"asshat" good word. but, yeah, act rude towards a server and/or an owner will get no good service towards ya..... treat someone as you would like to be treated. and you get the same respect.
not so much whining as bragging even... i agree that asshat is a great word; asshattery is even better
Like I said, it's both down here. Most people still call it french toast, but texas toast is kinda common for it. And texas toast is also those big slices of bread you dip in gravy or whatever you do with it.
It's a status symbol of sorts. I for one wouldn't spend $500 on a phone unless it could service me sexually.
