That's good that you think it. Only thing is what does your opinion matter unless you're a scientist well-versed in this area? Just because Trader Joes and Whole Foods sells you pomegranite juice for $7 doesn't mean it's going to flush your system of the nasties. Everybody needs to stop being so gullible. It's like the liberal version of people thinking there were WMDs.

Green tea does have (ECG) and (ECGC) and/or catechelins that have been proven in so many studies that I won't link any.
ecg, ecgc, and catechlins have shown to have AntiTUMERIC as well as antimutilagenic properties to the point of actually having a difference in health.

Take this point for example...Japanese and Chinese cultures are on the average, more healthy than American cultures. Specifically with Japanese most of them are never overweight and they have long spanning lives.
Japanese are also known to be daily green tea drinkers.

Say that when you smoke weed or any substance....you have free radicals in your body after. This amount of free radicals will probably decrease substantially over time. So, right after you smoke one would have the highest free radical content. An hour later it might be significantly less. What I believe to be true

is that by lessenning the amount of free radicals in your body after smoking you supply your body with less free radicals over time.
    If you smoke everyday

5 years can be a significant amount of time for free radical buildup(as in everytime you puff, more free radicals enter....(that are eventually broken down by your immune system)

so 5 years of drinking something like green tea Immediately after smoking can logically induce a healthy mind and body.

It can also Decrease negative effects from injesting plants that we use for other purposes than free radical buildup(IE nobody smokes weed to buildup free radicals)

I also think this supplement or antioxidant can be supplemented after running.
Haven't you heard that after running or cardio you have a ton of free radicals builtup temporarily?
    Green tea kills free radicals.
After running, there is massive free radical buildup. Green tea Kills free radicals
After running, drinking green tea will help reduce free radicals that are seemingly precursors to Cancer and other various types of conditions that seem to effect people

Rates of disease are higher among drug users, whether due to a lifestyle difference in all aspects or from merely the drug use itself.
Whenever we use a drug our liver has to detoxify it.
I think green tea can help maintain a clean liver(by detoxifying it)---in a healthy way(remember the healthy Japanese?)
Running or Cardio will also keep a healthy body....not to mention liver heart spleen kidneys blood, etc. etc. DESPITE the fact that after running you get free radicals. apparently its' normal and ok, but from my understanding - Alll free radicals are poisonous and toxic.

Therefore whenever there is a free radical buildup in my body---whether it be due to smoking Grass, or drinking, or running, or using some drug....---- I know that Green tea may substantially increase the probability of a longer life.
I think green tea and a long Healthy life are positively correlated. I think they go hand in hand.
    Like parallel lines running together.

P.S. I heard 10 cups of green tea a day max.
I usually just have 1 , or less.
I read that in one serving of the green tea Powder formula there is like 10 cups worth of catechelins, ecg, and ecgc. Therefore I advise against using the powdered formulas---or use with caution.

In conclusion, I think free radical buildup caused from Smoking Herb or other drugs, or from cardiovascular exercise(smoking a blunt is a workout...in a way) can easily be reduced by drinking a cold or warm cup of green tea after any activity that may be harmful(to an extent)

P.S.S - I've also read/heard that marijuana has anti-canceric , anti-tumoric. etc. properties that may also contribute to a long healthy life.
I do also know that you could totally get lung cancer from smoking all the time, or mouth cancer from holding in all those blunt hits.
But, I'm not here to discuss the benefits of herb.
Most of us already know that.

conditions of the growing and possible pesticides of Any plant grown could easily cause synthetic, unnatural reactions in the body in which the body does not have the proper defenses against it.

Therefore I strongly Advice us smokers to use green tea, maybe swish it around your mouth after smoking.(what this would do in lamens terms is reduce the effect of smoke in your mouth)(since smoke has cancer properties(smoking is the #1 killer in america), and green tea has anti cancer properties......by taking an Anti cancer substance you're reducing the cancer properties in your body already(since we're going to smoke one way or another)
So in all, though you could call it a fad or just another health bogey.....

Logically it seems that substantial health effects like increased energy, a longer life, and a healthier body would stem from simply drinking or taking antioxidants after what you do that is unhealthy(as that would be the time that there is the most free radical buildup(IE when the free radicals can do the most damage))

After discussing this with a buddy who is a research chemist for a cancer institute his reply was "well if it makes you think you feel better." In short, green teas affect is negligable but yes antioxidants in general are supposed to be good for the body in general.

There is no silver bullet or magic properties that a healthy diet in itself would not provide. People have strapped magnets to their bodies, drank their own urine etc. looking for a wonder cure and preventitive.

After all the money spent on green tea you could have afforded a vaporizer. :)

    I agree.
Nothing works like a magic charm, unless you're Lucky.
But it could help and it is healthy and not expensive.
And it is a tea, so it may be drank as an art, occasionally.
Not to mention a diuretic, which I personally do not like.
But I put the kettle on, put the hot water in a mug and let it cool.
When it's warm : chug chug chug
One 6 oz of semi-warm green tea actually tastes pretty good

    I'm a believer in mindset.
    Placebo works if powerful enough.
If i drink green tea and I think it's some healthy antioxidant stuff, it's gonna be healthier than drinking green tea with no belief.(serious)(think hospital meds here....a patient who has a will to live is like 10x more likely to survive, most times.)
There have been some Studies on the power of the thought process, and how it contributes to ones life in both positive and negative regards.

So just thinking green tea helps fight disease, combined with the actual effect of the ecgc, can have a Powerful effect on mind and body.
    EGCG is a potent antioxidant.

This is some info on one of the antioxidants in green tea.
I won't source the cite because I don't think it is worth sorting. However there are a ton of actual scientific studies I just don't care to look them up.
The earth used to be flat. Now it is round.
    You call that science? Ha
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), an antioxidant found in green tea, is at least 100 more times more effective than vitamin C and 25 times more effective than vitamin E at protecting cells and DNA from damage believed to be linked to cancer, heart disease and other serious illnesses. This antioxidant has twice the benefits of resveratrol, found in red wine.

I did not mean sorting. I meant showing! Ha!

As in, the cite is probably not correct 100%. But I'm sure that paragraph has some true info., hopefully at least.

Otherwise I am wasting a teaspoon of sugar and 10 bucks worth of green tea a month.
    Shit!

Well I agree with antioxidents for good health in general, leafy green veggies, grape juice, well juices in general.

For placebos: they had on the news that they were just as effective as prozac. The power of the mind can be quite incredible.

I see you still dont get my point..please re read my earlier post..I am not opposing just for the heck of it..if you were right I would agree..I have no qualms in accepting the truth.

    1. Consuming tea is good for the human health (anti-oxidants etc and all that cr@p) however in moderation.

    2. After smoking weed is not a good idea as you get the munchies and drinking tea may cause acidity, ulcers (after you smoke).

I hope you get it this time..

    i'm gonna agree to disagree.
any supplement that kills free radicals is healthy, and after doing an unhealthy activity like smoking(which produces toxins in the body) an antioxidant is a great way to help counteract effects.

again, i' agree to disagree here.
i am a neuroscientist and have interned in a lab that helps prevent and find treatments for alzheimers disease through brain cultures of rats, so i do have experience in the subject i am speaking about.
you can always disagree and not drink tea =]
i know i'll be around for a long time

Fact: Drinking green tea is good for the health

Fact: smoking anything is bad for the health

if you have ulcers you should get your acidity levels checked, drink less citrus juices, have a somewhat empty stomach when you go to bed(food in the belly while lying down causes acidity), or smoke less. also, it's a bad idea to run after you eat, so wait until you digest your food if you exercise.
if you do not exercise, i suggest you do that now, because if you don't take the time for exercise now, you will take the time to suffer later in life.

anyways good luck and have fun
