I enjoy any pink floyd, nice happy songs that remind of summer like red hot chili peppers, U2 etc

And some trancy music that has no structure, just keeps playing

Pretty much classic rock will do the trick. My general favorite bands to listen to would be:

    ISIS
    TOOL
    MuDvAyNe
    Primus
    King Crimson
    The Doors
    Pink Floyd
    Led Zeppelin

Really any post-rock and metal. I just let my 80 gig mp3 player on random and let it tap into the pattern of reality of that paticular time to create my music atmosphere. Its actually quite cool what songs come up when I'm thinking about them.

My personal favorite songs would be :
    Third Eye by Tool
Color Me Blood Red by Converge
    Ghost Song by The Doors
WIld/ WIld Gravity by Talking Heads
Frame By Frame by King Crimson
    Celestial by Isis

    etc. etc

I love songs that take you on an epic voyage. Most of Infected Mushroom is good for just some feel good background type stuff but there are a few songs for me that just push me over the edge. Tool - Lateralus and 10,000 days and Infected Mushroom - Heavyweight are just a few. Pendulum's album, 'Hold Your Color' is pretty awesome too. Of course there is Pink Floyd and I even like to listen to some Opeth. Acid Bath is really brutal and the imagery can be pretty wild. Puscifer's cd, 'V is for Vagina' is nice too.
